Fan shroud and blower device
A fan shroud and a blower device are provided. The fan shroud includes a shroud wall surface and a plurality of ventilation openings. The shroud wall surface extends around a fan along a radial direction orthogonal to a rotation axis. The plurality of ventilation openings are formed through the shroud wall surface in a thickness direction of the shroud wall surface to allow passing of wind generated by a fan motor. A width of a wall surface side opening on a downstream side of the wind in the ventilation opening is smaller than a width of a lateral wall side opening on an upstream side of the wind in the ventilation opening.
Electric drive for a motor vehicle
An electric drive for a motor vehicle, in particular a fan drive, comprising an electric motor that includes a rotor which is mounted on a motor shaft so as to be able to rotate about a stationary stator as well as a driving part which is coupled to the rotor, and at least one electroconductive cover part for influencing and/or blocking interfering electromagnetic fields generated during operation of the electric motor.
ELECTRIC-MOTOR DRIVE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE AND RADIATOR FAN
An electric-motor drive, more particularly a fan drive, is provided for a motor vehicle. The drive contains an electric motor which has a rotatably mounted rotor and a stator having a laminated core. The laminated core forms a stator yoke and stator teeth of the stator, the stator teeth are directed radially from the stator yoke, and a stator winding is supported on the stator teeth. An electrically conductive covering part is provided for influencing and/or screening electromagnetic interference fields produced during the electric-motor operation. The covering part has a sleeve-type lateral wall and a circular-ring-shaped cover surface, which protrudes radially inward from an end of the lateral wall. The lateral wall is placed onto an outer periphery of the stator yoke. The cover surface axially covers the stator winding at least partly, and the lateral wall has a number of venting openings.
Engine and fan system having an electric motor
A system includes an engine having a crankshaft and an electric motor having a shaft, the shaft including a first end and a second end. The system further includes a power source in electrical communication with the electric motor, the power source configured to provide electrical power to the electric motor, a reduction drive coupled to the crankshaft and to the first end of the shaft of the electric motor, and a fan coupled to the second end of the shaft of the electric motor, wherein rotation of the shaft of the electric motor drives rotation of the fan.
Electric motor and radiator fan
An electric motor including a rotor rotatably mounted about a rotational axis extending in the axial direction, and a stator including stator teeth widened in a T shape at the tooth-base side to form pole tabs and extending in the circumferential direction. The pole tabs may form a bearing shoulder. A respective stator slot for receiving coils of a stator winding is formed between adjacent stator teeth and a slot opening formed between mutually facing pole tabs. A reinforcing element may be inserted into a slot opening. The reinforcing element are held on mutually facing pole tabs of adjacent stator teeth by the bearing shoulders. The reinforcing element includes a contour that engages a bearing region to reduce a contact area with the bearing shoulders.
VEHICLE AIR INTAKE SCREEN MAINTENANCE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A vehicle radiator air intake screen maintenance system comprising a radiator fan, a fan motor; and a control module operable to control the rotational speed and direction of the radiator fan to: periodically implement a drop cycle whereby a radiator cooling air flow generated by the fan rotating in a forward direction is slowed such debris collected on a radiator air intake screen of the vehicle is caused to fall off due to gravitational force; and periodically implement a full reverse cycle where a rotational direction of the fan is reversed and an expulsion air flow is generated whereby debris collected on vehicle radiator and the air intake screen will be blown off, whereafter reverse rotation of the fan is stopped and the fan is returned to the full forward operating speed and direction.
Apparatus for controlling engine cooling of a vehicle, a system having the same and a method thereof
An engine cooling control apparatus, a system including the same, and a method thereof provide an engine cooling control apparatus including a processor configured to calculate a required fan rotation speed for controlling a cooling fan based on proportional integral (PI) control and a storage configured to store data acquired by the processor and an algorithm for driving the processor. The processor classifies a plurality of control regions depending on a coolant temperature and adjusts and outputs the required fan rotation speed for each of the control regions.
Motor cooling system
A cooling system includes a motor block, a radiator provided with a fan, a pump with an electrical motor to pump the coolant in a cooling circuit, a first temperature sensor at the outlet of the motor block, a second temperature sensor at the outlet of the radiator, a control unit-connected to the temperature sensors and to the electrical motor of the pump to actuate the electrical motor of the pump according to the temperature values detected by the sensor temperatures.
VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE
A vehicle includes an internal combustion engine. The internal combustion engine includes an exhaust passage, and a filter for collecting particulate matter contained in the exhaust gas. The vehicle includes a cooling fan for circulating air around a radiator and the filter. A control device of the vehicle executes an accumulated amount calculation process for calculating a particulate matter accumulated amount. The control device executes a regeneration process under a condition that the particulate matter accumulated amount exceeds a specified amount. The regeneration process is a process for regenerating the filter when the particulate matter collected on the filter is combusted. The control device executes a fan drive process for driving the cooling fan.
