VEHICLE ENGINE SYSTEM PROVIDED WITH A TURBOCHARGER, AND CONTROL METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SUCH ENGINE SYSTEM
An engine system has an internal combustion engine, a turbocharger provided with a compressor and with a turbine; and a supply line, which supplied air to the engine through said compressor; the supply line has a supplementary compression stage, which is distinct from the compressor and is controlled in combination with and adjustment of the turbine, in order to limit the back pressure of the exhaust gases flowing out of the engine; in particular, said compression stage is defined by an ejector.
Intake bypass for liquid fuel engine
A fuel supply system for an internal combustion engine includes an air compressor, an air cooler connected downstream of the air compressor and the compressed air supply passage, and a bypass passage connected downstream of the air compressor. The fuel supply system also includes a fuel injector secured to the compressed air supply passage or secured to the bypass passage and a valve connected between the air compressor and the air cooler, the valve being configured to block a flow of intake air to the air cooler, causing the intake air to flow to the bypass passage or to permit the flow of intake air to the air cooler.

Valve
A valve comprising a housing, a solenoid in the housing, a pin that can be moved by the solenoid, and a cup-shaped piston connected to the pin. The piston has an injection-molded membrane as a base, and the pin is connected to the membrane. The valve further includes a spring that rests against the membrane. The membrane is riveted to the pin.
SOLENOID VALVE FOR THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY
A solenoid valve for the automotive industry includes a housing comprising an inlet channel and an outlet channel. An electromagnetic circuit is arranged in the housing. The electromagnetic circuit includes a coil wound onto a coil carrier, an armature, a core, and a return device. The armature and the core are arranged in a valve interior. A valve rod is arranged to adjoin the armature. The valve rod is movably mounted in the core via a bearing. A sleeve body seals the valve interior. The sleeve body is provided as a bearing element for the armature. A valve closure body is operatively connected to the armature. The valve closure body includes pressure equalization openings and is movably mounted in the sleeve body via a first sealing element. A spring pre-tensions the armature.
Recirculation system for a power system that includes a plurality of turbochargers
A recirculation system for a power system is disclosed. The recirculation system may determine, according to a sequence for individually activating a plurality of turbochargers of an engine, that a designated turbocharger of the plurality of turbochargers is to be activated. The recirculation system may cause a recirculation valve of a recirculation line to open to increase an airflow between an intake manifold and a compressor of the designated turbocharger.

EGR estimation method for internal combustion engine and EGR estimation device for internal combustion engine
An EGR estimation method for estimating an EGR rate in an intake and exhaust system of an internal combustion engine, the intake and exhaust system including: an intake system including an air cleaner and an intake passage that connects the air cleaner and the engine, an exhaust system including an exhaust passage, and a supercharger that is provided in the intake passage and the exhaust passage, the intake and exhaust system including an EGR device including an EGR passage that connects the intake passage and the exhaust passage and an EGR valve, and the intake system including an intake bypass passage that connects an upstream pressure portion and a downstream pressure portion of the supercharger and a recirculation valve. The EGR estimation method includes: opening the recirculation valve during supercharging, and estimating the EGR rate after closing the EGR valve based on the EGR rate before opening the recirculation valve.
ELECTRONIC PUMP/COMPRESSOR FOR AN ENGINE SYSTEM
Systems and apparatuses include a system including an electronic compressor, a bypass intake coupled between an engine system of a generator set and the electronic compressor, a bypass outlet coupled between the electronic compressor and the engine system, and a valve positioned to selectively inhibit flow between the bypass intake and the bypass outlet during a starting operation.
