Combustion engine with a variable compression ratio which, according to the invention, includes the following items: engine body, crankshaft with crank pins mounted rotatably in the body, cylinders, pistons connected to the crankshaft via pin connecting rod sand control arms as well as the control arm rod located inside the engine body, with eccentrics mounted on it, on which eccentrics for each piston there are separately mounted control arms, it is characterized by the fact that on the control arm rod (19) aside from the rigidly mounted eccentrics (18), on which single control arms (14) are rotatably mounted, there are also rotatably mounted eccentrics (23), on which single control arms (14) are rotatably mounted, where preferably on the eccentrics (18) are mounted the control arms (14) for one row of cylinders (5), while for the eccentrics (23) are mounted the control arms (14) for the other row of cylinders (5), additionally the engine contains a mechanism for changing the compression ratio consisting of the control arm rod (19) with eccentrics (18, 23) mounted on the control arm rod (19) as well as coupling elements that connect the elements of the mechanism which ensure that neighboring eccentrics (18, 23) rotate in opposite directions.
POWER UNIT
The invention relates to a power unit, in particular for a hybrid vehicle, having a two-cylinder reciprocating piston engine which comprises two pistons guided in two cylinders in a tandem arrangement and two counter-rotating crankshafts connected to the pistons by connecting rods and having an alternator that can rotate in the opposite direction to the first crankshaft and in the same direction as the second crankshaft. The invention is characterized in that the alternator is in driving engagement with at least the first crankshaft via a traction mechanism and comprises a counterbalance, wherein the first crankshaft is connected via a timing chain or a timing belt to a balancing shaft which carries a further balancing mass. The invention also relates to a vehicle, in particular a hybrid vehicle, having such a power unit.
POWER UNIT
The invention relates to a power unit, in particular for a hybrid vehicle, comprising a reciprocating piston engine and comprising a generator which can be in driving engagement therewith, wherein the reciprocating piston engine has at least two pistons, which are guided in at least two cylinders in tandem arrangement, and two counter-rotating crankshafts, which are connected to the pistons by connecting rods and which are mechanically coupled so as to be in phase, wherein a first generator can be driven by the first crankshaft and a second generator can be driven by the second crankshaft.

Power Unit
A power unit for a hybrid vehicle is provided with a twin-cylinder reciprocating piston engine, which has two pistons which are guided in two cylinders in tandem arrangement. Two counter-directional crankshafts are connected with the pistons by connecting rods. At least one generator is rotatable co-directionally to the first crankshaft and counter-directionally to the second crankshaft. A camshaft with valve cams are operatively connected with control valves. A flywheel mass element is arranged on the second crankshaft or on a flywheel mass compensating shaft, and a compensating camshaft are provided. The compensating camshaft includes at least one compensating cam element which is operatively connected with a linearly guided compensating mass.
Power unit
The invention relates to a power unit, in particular for a hybrid vehicle, comprising a two-cylinder reciprocating piston engine comprising two pistons guided in two cylinders in tandem arrangement, and two counter-rotating crankshafts connected to the pistons by connecting rods, a generator which is rotatable in the same direction as the first crankshaft and in the opposite direction to the second crankshaft, and a balancer shaft which is rotatable in the same direction as the second crankshaft and in the opposite direction to the first crankshaft. The generator is operatively connected directly to the first crankshaft by a first traction mechanism and the balancer shaft is operatively connected directly to the second crankshaft by a second traction mechanism. The balancer shaft and/or the second crankshaft support(s) a flywheel mass element. The invention further relates to a vehicle, in particular a hybrid vehicle, having such a power unit.
Internal combustion engine with gas-liquid separator for blowby gas
An internal combustion engine (1) includes an internal combustion engine main body (20), a head cover (11, 15) attached to an upper end part of the internal combustion engine main body, and an exhaust system (34) connected to the internal combustion engine main body, and a gas-liquid separator (45, 60) for blowby gas provided in the head cover. A part of the exhaust system is positioned adjacent to the internal combustion engine main body in a first direction (X) along a cylinder row, and the gas-liquid separator is positioned in the head cover so as to be offset in the first direction.
Generator set
The invention relates to a generator set, in particular a generator set of a hybrid vehicle, with a two-cylinder piston engine (1), which has a crankshaft housing (10), in which two counter-rotating crankshafts (11, 12) are arranged, which are connected by means of piston rods (13) to pistons (18, 19), which are guided inside two cylinders (21, 22) in a tandem arrangement, wherein at least one crankshaft (11, 12) is drivingly connected to a generator (41, 42), and wherein the piston engine (1) comprises a cylinder head (20), which is connected to the crankshaft housing (10), wherein the piston engine (1) has a lower-mounted camshaft (30), and the cylinder head (20) can be connected to the crankshaft housing (10) in at least two positions, in particular positions rotated through 180 relative to each other. Furthermore, the invention relates to a vehicle with such a generator set.
Inline turbocharger arrangement and method
An internal combustion engine having an exhaust log structure onto which a plurality of turbochargers is connected, each turbocharger having a turbine connected to the exhaust log structure and having an inlet fluidly connectable to a respective one of the plurality of outlet ports, an exhaust valve disposed at a turbine outlet such that the flow of exhaust gas out of the turbine is fluidly blocked, and an actuator associated with the exhaust valve and operating to move the exhaust valve from a closed position to an open position and vice versa. An electronic controller provides a command to the actuator to move the exhaust valve between the open and closed positions and is programmed to selectively open two one or more exhaust valves based on an operating condition of the engine.
Internal combustion engine with paired, parallel, offset pistons
