VALVE DEVICE
A valve device increases or decreases a flow rate of EGR gas. The valve device includes a housing, a bypass valve body, an EGR valve body. The housing includes a first upstream passage into which the EGR gas cooled by an EGR cooler flows, a second upstream passage into which the EGR gas that bypasses the EGR cooler flows, a junction connected to each of a gas-flow downstream side of the first upstream passage and a gas-flow downstream side of the second upstream passage, and a downstream passage connected to the first upstream passage and the second upstream passage via the junction. The bypass valve body opens and closes the second upstream passage. The EGR valve body is provided in the downstream passage, rotates around an EGR valve axis.
VALVE DEVICE
A valve device increases or decreases a flow rate of EGR gas. The valve device includes a housing, a bypass valve body, and an EGR valve body. The housing includes a first upstream passage into which the EGR gas cooled by an EGR cooler flows, a second upstream passage into which the EGR gas that bypasses the EGR cooler flows, and a downstream passage connected to the first upstream passage and the second upstream passage, and provided downstream with respect to the first upstream passage and the second upstream passage. The bypass valve body opens and closes the second upstream passage. The EGR valve body is provided in the downstream passage and rotates around an EGR valve axis to open and close the downstream passage.
COMPRESSOR STAGE EGR INJECTION
A product may include a bearing housing in which a shaft may be supported by a bearing so that it may rotate. A compressor wheel may be disposed on the shaft. A compressor cover may be connected with the bearing housing, which may form a compressor body and may define a chamber within which the compressor wheel may rotate. A diffuser may extend radially outward from the chamber and may receive gas from the compressor wheel. An inlet may be provided to the compressor body, which may receive a supply of exhaust gas. An EGR distribution cavity may be defined within the compressor body and may extend around the shaft. An EGR inlet channel may extend into the bearing housing from the inlet to the EGR distribution cavity. An EGR passage may extend from the EGR distribution cavity to the diffuser.
COMPRESSOR STAGE EGR INJECTION
A product may include a bearing housing in which a shaft may be supported by a bearing so that it may rotate. A compressor wheel may be disposed on the shaft. A compressor cover may be connected with the bearing housing, which may form a compressor body and may define a chamber within which the compressor wheel may rotate. A diffuser may extend radially outward from the chamber and may receive gas from the compressor wheel. An inlet may be provided to the compressor body, which may receive a supply of exhaust gas. An EGR distribution cavity may be defined within the compressor body and may extend around the shaft. An EGR inlet channel may extend into the bearing housing from the inlet to the EGR distribution cavity. An EGR passage may extend from the EGR distribution cavity to the diffuser.
EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM AND VEHICLE-MOUNTED SOLID OXIDE FUEL CELL SYSTEM
The invention discloses an emission control system. A vehicle-mounted solid oxide fuel cell system using the emission control system comprises a stack and a burner. The emission control system comprises an EGR intake pipe, as well as an exhaust cooling device, a supercharging device, a gas storage device and an EGR valve connected in sequence by the EGR intake pipe. An inlet end of the EGR intake pipe is connected to an exhaust pipe of the burner, and an outlet end of the EGR intake pipe is connected to an inlet pipe between the stack and the burner. This solution adds an EGR system to the original vehicle-mounted solid oxide fuel cell system. As the introduced exhaust gas can reduce the ambient temperature of the inlet gas, the generation of pollutants such as NOx can be reduced. In addition, after the EGR exhaust gas participates in combustion, the combustion temperature is further reduced, thereby inhibiting the generation of pollutants such as NOx. The present invention also discloses a vehicle-mounted solid oxide fuel cell system comprising the foregoing emission control system.
EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM AND VEHICLE-MOUNTED SOLID OXIDE FUEL CELL SYSTEM
The invention discloses an emission control system. A vehicle-mounted solid oxide fuel cell system using the emission control system comprises a stack and a burner. The emission control system comprises an EGR intake pipe, as well as an exhaust cooling device, a supercharging device, a gas storage device and an EGR valve connected in sequence by the EGR intake pipe. An inlet end of the EGR intake pipe is connected to an exhaust pipe of the burner, and an outlet end of the EGR intake pipe is connected to an inlet pipe between the stack and the burner. This solution adds an EGR system to the original vehicle-mounted solid oxide fuel cell system. As the introduced exhaust gas can reduce the ambient temperature of the inlet gas, the generation of pollutants such as NOx can be reduced. In addition, after the EGR exhaust gas participates in combustion, the combustion temperature is further reduced, thereby inhibiting the generation of pollutants such as NOx. The present invention also discloses a vehicle-mounted solid oxide fuel cell system comprising the foregoing emission control system.
INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE SYSTEM OPERABLE IN AT LEAST TWO OPERATING MODES
The invention relates to an internal combustion engine system. The system includes a mixing unit comprising a four-way valve. The four-way valve having a first inlet connected to the EGR line, a second inlet connected to the air inlet line, a first outlet connected to the first intake manifold and a second outlet connected to the second intake manifold. The four-way valve is designed so that, in said normal operating mode, the intake gases supplied to the first intake manifold and to the second intake manifold have approximately the same proportion of exhaust gas and fresh air and so that, in said cylinder deactivation mode, the intake gas supplied to the first intake manifold only includes exhaust gas and the fresh air is directed exclusively to the second intake manifold.
Flexible ignition device for gasoline compression ignition combustion in internal combustion engines
This disclosure presents, in one or more embodiments, an ignition device for a gasoline compression ignition engine. The ignition device includes a shuttle plunger with a gas chamber. The gas chamber is delimited by at least one sidewall of the shuttle plunger and captures exhaust gases. The ignition device also includes an electromagnetic coil that actuates the shuttle plunger in a first direction, a main body with a cavity containing the shuttle plunger and the electromagnetic coil, and a center electrode, fixed to the shuttle plunger, that ignites a fuel mixture.
VALVE ASSEMBLY FOR AN EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION SYSTEM
A valve assembly for an exhaust gas recirculation system includes a housing defining an inlet bore and including a second interior surface defining a housing bore. The valve assembly also includes a valve seat and a valve. The valve includes a valve stem and a valve sealing member. The valve assembly optionally includes a baffle at least partially disposed in the housing bore. A first interior radius is defined between the valve stem and the second interior surface. A second interior radius is defined between at least one of the valve stem and the second interior surface, the valve stem and the baffle, and the baffle and the second interior surface. The second interior radius is different from the first interior radius and is configured to direct the flow of the exhaust gas in the housing bore to reduce swirl of exhaust gas in the housing bore.
VALVE ASSEMBLY FOR AN EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION SYSTEM
A valve assembly for an exhaust gas recirculation system includes a housing defining an inlet bore and including a second interior surface defining a housing bore. The valve assembly also includes a valve seat and a valve. The valve includes a valve stem and a valve sealing member. The valve assembly optionally includes a baffle at least partially disposed in the housing bore. A first interior radius is defined between the valve stem and the second interior surface. A second interior radius is defined between at least one of the valve stem and the second interior surface, the valve stem and the baffle, and the baffle and the second interior surface. The second interior radius is different from the first interior radius and is configured to direct the flow of the exhaust gas in the housing bore to reduce swirl of exhaust gas in the housing bore.
