COMBUSTION AIR FILTRATION APPARATUS
A combustion air filtration apparatus for filtering combustion air for an engine is disclosed. The combustion air filtration apparatus comprises a combustion air source and a filter system fluidly coupled to the combustion air source and to the engine to receive combustion air from the combustion air source and to supply filtered combustion air for the engine. The filter system comprises a first combustion air filter, a second combustion air filter flow-parallel to the first combustion air filter, and a flow control system fluidly coupled to the first combustion air filter and the second combustion air filter to direct flow of combustion air selectively between the first combustion air filter and the second combustion air filter.
Engine air cleaner with integrated compressor suppressor
An air cleaner assembly can contain an air filter element to filter contaminant material out of an air stream. In some examples, the air cleaner assembly includes a housing with an integrated noise suppression chamber for supplying air to a downstream compressor. The housing forms a cavity into which an air filter element is inserted. Contaminated air enters the housing and passes through the air filter. Filtered air can discharge from the housing through a first opening supplying air to a combustion engine and a second opening supplying air to a compressor. Air supplied to the compressor passes from the interior of the housing containing the filter element and through the integrated noise suppression chamber before being discharged. The acoustic energy released by the filtered air stream exiting the air cleaner assembly may be reduced by passing through the noise suppression chamber.
AIR FILTER DIVERTER
An automobile air intake filter comprising: a filter, wherein the filter comprising a base portion a filtration unit and a top portion; and a diverter having a first end and second end, wherein the first end is secured to the base portion of the filter.
Control method for controlling an air intake system which supplies air to an engine of a vehicle
A control method for controlling an air intake system for an engine of a vehicle; the intake system has a main air intake coupled to an air filter provided with a heating device. The control method comprises the steps of: determining a pressure difference between upstream and downstream of the air filter; determining a variation speed of the pressure difference between upstream and downstream of the air filter by calculating the first derivative in time of the pressure difference between upstream and downstream of the air filter; and turning on and/or turning off the heating device based on the variation speed of the pressure difference between upstream and downstream of the air filter.
Engine air precleaner system
An air management assembly for a work machine, the air management assembly having a cooling orifice defined in a panel, a cooling fan generating a cooling airflow through the cooling orifice to a cooling package, at least one fixed screen positioned along an intake orifice, and a first baffle positioned at least partially between the cooling orifice and the intake orifice. Wherein, the first baffle directs the cooling airflow partially across the fixed screen to clear the fixed screen of debris.
SILOXANE MITIGATION IN MACHINE SYSTEM HAVING BLOWER FOR PRESSURE DROP COMPENSATION
A siloxane mitigation system for a machine system having an internal combustion engine includes a siloxane trap having a plurality of adsorbent cartridges fluidly in parallel with one another, an air precleaner fluidly connected to a trap housing inlet, and a blower structured to blow intake air to the siloxane trap to compensate for a pressure drop across the siloxane trap. A trap performance sensor of the siloxane mitigation system is structured for monitoring an exhaust pressure to indicate performance degradation of the siloxane mitigation system and activate an operator-perceptible alert.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR A COOLING ARRANGEMENT
Methods and systems are provided for an intake system. In one example, a housing comprises a compressor, a cooler, and an air intake arranged therein. The cooler comprises a cylindrical shape and surrounds the compressor.
Intake device for saddle riding vehicle
In an intake device, an upper fuel injection device that injects a fuel and a suction port that suctions the air-fuel mixture supplied to a cylinder head are disposed in the air cleaner. The intake device includes the air cleaner including an air cleaner case and a sidewall filter that purifies an air suctioned into the air cleaner case. The sidewall filter partitions a space in the air cleaner case in a vehicle width direction, and has at least partially overlapping with the upper fuel injection device in the vehicle width direction.
Air cleaner
An air cleaner includes: an air cleaner box defining a clean chamber that is placed rearward of a dirty chamber, the clean chamber receiving air which has been introduced from front into the dirty chamber and then filtered through an air cleaner element; and funnels that are to be connected to an intake port of an internal combustion engine, the funnels protruding upward into a space within the air cleaner box from a bottom wall of the air cleaner box. The air cleaner further includes a breather chamber into which blow-by gas is introduced from the internal combustion engine, the breather chamber being placed rearward of the funnels and between the funnels and a rear wall of the air cleaner box. Accordingly, the air cleaner can further promote the air-liquid separation of blow-by gas without incurring an increase in weight of the internal combustion engine.
