Fluid supply system having shutoff valve with stabilized electrical valve actuator
A fluid supply system for a machine such as an internal combustion engine includes a shutoff valve having an electrical actuator that includes a solenoid subassembly, and a stabilizer for the electrical valve actuator. The stabilizer includes a fitting structured to couple the shutoff valve to adjacent hardware in the fluid supply system, and a strongarm extending between the fitting and the solenoid assembly and clamped to the solenoid subassembly. A vibration-damping reinforced grommet may be clamped between the solenoid subassembly and the clamp.
Engine
An engine includes a combustion chamber, a cylinder head, an intake valve, a partition wall plate, and a tumble valve. The cylinder head includes an intake port that communicates with the combustion chamber. The intake valve includes a head configured to open and close an open end of the intake port. The partition wall plate partitions the intake port into first and second passages. The tumble valve is configured to open and close either one of the first passage and the second passage. A cross sectional shape of the partition wall plate is defined on a basis of a shape of a gap that is surrounded by a contour of the head and a contour of the open end, as viewed in a reference direction. The reference direction is a direction from a reference point in the intake port to a gap between the open end and the head.
ELECTRONIC PUMP/COMPRESSOR FOR AN ENGINE SYSTEM
Systems and apparatuses include a system including an electronic compressor, a bypass intake coupled between an engine system of a generator set and the electronic compressor, a bypass outlet coupled between the electronic compressor and the engine system, and a valve positioned to selectively inhibit flow between the bypass intake and the bypass outlet during a starting operation.
Charge-air cooler and method to reduce water induction in engine
An engine system includes an intake manifold and a charge-air cooler disposed upstream of the intake manifold. The charge-air cooler includes a housing defining an enclosure having a water reservoir, a heat exchanger disposed within the enclosure, and a valve disposed within the enclosure. The valve has a flap that is movable between an open position in which airflow is permitted across the water reservoir and a closed position is which airflow across the water reservoir is inhibited.
AIR FLOW HEATER ASSIST BY E-TURBO
It is aimed to provide an internal combustion engine (10) comprising: an exhaust line (13) configured to receive exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine (10). An intake line (12) is configured to supply pressurized air from an air intake to the internal combustion engine. A heater (20) is disposed adjacent the exhaust line (13) to generate heat that is transported via the exhaust line to an exhaust aftertreatment system (30). A bypass line (11) controllably connects the intake line to the exhaust line to bypass the engine An electric flow generator (40) is arranged in the intake line and/or bypass line between the air intake and the inlet opening to supply intake air to the exhaust line; and a control system is arranged to selectively control the bypass line (11) to provide pressurized intake air from the electric flow generator, via the inlet opening (17) to supply intake air to the exhaust line for transporting heat generated by the heater towards the aftertreatment system.
Variable Valve Device of Vehicle Air Intake System
An embodiment variable valve device of a vehicle intake system includes a variable valve housing fixed to a housing of an air cleaner and including a valve passage penetrating the air cleaner, a variable valve flap rotatably coupled to the variable valve housing and configured to perform opening and closing operations based on an intake negative pressure of an engine to open and close the valve passage, and a cam protrusion and a leaf spring provided on the variable valve flap and the variable valve housing, respectively, wherein the cam protrusion and the leaf spring are in contact with each other.
Air induction system with water detection
A vehicle includes an internal combustion engine and an air induction system configured to provide intake air to the internal combustion engine. The air induction system includes an intake port, an air box coupled to the intake port and having a wet side air box and a dry side air box, at least one sensor disposed within the air box and configured to detect a presence or level of liquid within the air box, and a watertight door disposed within the air box and configured to move between an open position that allows air to pass through the air box dry side, and a closed position that facilitates preventing liquid from passing into the air box dry side.
Internal combustion engine air intake system
An improved internal combustion engine air intake system that operates in tandem with the original equipment air intake system and does not endanger the vehicle warranty and provides improved airflow to the engine which improves engine performance and efficiency. The improved internal combustion engine air intake system also provides one or more additional air inputs taken from a different location than the original equipment air intake which improves the likelihood of providing additional cooler, denser, air to the engine air intake which will improve engine efficiency.
Generation and regulation of HHO gas
An HHO gas second fuel is produced in a pressure-resistant container and distributed at a low volumetric rate at multiple locations about the internal combustion engine.
Engine intake system and control method thereof
An engine intake system includes: a port partition disposed to divide an intake port of a cylinder head into an upper portion and a lower portion; a first intake manifold configured to supply air, which flows from an air cleaner through a charger and an intercooler, to one of the upper portion and the lower portion of the port partition; a second intake manifold configured to supply the air, which flows from the air cleaner while bypassing the charger and the intercooler, to the other of the upper portion and the lower portion of the port partition; and a bypass valve disposed and configured to pass and block the air flowing into the second intake manifold from the air cleaner.
