Co-axial dual fluids metering system and methods
A metering system for a fuel atomizer includes a housing having a fuel inlet and an oxidizer inlet arranged coaxially, and an oxidizer metering device having a plurality of oxidizer channels, an oxidizer flow controller, and a fuel metering device. The oxidizer channels are spaced apart circumferentially in the housing and are arranged angled in at least one of a radially inward direction and a tangential direction to create a swirl of oxidizer flow in a mixing chamber of the fuel atomizer. The oxidizer flow controller is configured to control flow of oxidizer from the oxidizer inlet to the plurality of oxidizer channels. The fuel metering device is configured to control fuel flow from the fuel inlet to the mixing chamber.
Injector and method for injecting fuel and an additional fluid
An injector (1) for injecting fuel and an additional fluid, is provided in that the injector (1) is designed for optimal space-saving yet exhibiting a simple construction. This construction results in a precise injection of a fuel and an additional fluid into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. The arrangement has two solenoid valves, the first valve (2) and the second valve (3). The second solenoid valve (3) has a second nozzle needle (9) which is arranged in the injector (1), and the first nozzle needle (7) of the first solenoid valve (2) and the second nozzle needle (9) of the second solenoid valve (3) are arranged one behind the other on a longitudinal axis (10) of the injector (1). Further, the nozzle needles (7, 9) can be controlled independently of one another.
Two step metering solenoid for fluid dispenser
A metering system for a fluid atomizer includes a housing, first and second metering members, and at least one solenoid. The housing includes a mixing chamber. The first metering member is operable to control flow of a first fluid to the mixing chamber. The second metering member is arranged coaxial with the first metering member and operable to control flow of a second fluid to the mixing chamber. The at least one solenoid is configured to operate at least one of the first and second metering members.

Linear actuator for valve control and operating systems and methods
Linear actuators are disclosed. The linear actuator comprises a thruster and a stator. The thruster includes a thruster winding, and the stator includes a stator winding. The stator is disposed about the thruster. The linear actuator also includes a sheath disposed about the stator and the thruster. The thruster is configured to translate within the sheath relative to the stator upon application of an electrical current to the stator winding, the thruster winding, or a combination thereof. The stator winding and the thruster winding each comprise a nonpermanent magnet.
