The fuel distributor includes a tubular base body, which is preferably processed by a one-stage or multi-stage forging process, a first high-pressure output, a second high-pressure output, a third high-pressure output, and a fourth high-pressure output being provided at the base body. The second high-pressure output is situated offset by a predefined distance compared to the first high-pressure output in a first direction along a longitudinal axis of the tubular base body. The third high-pressure output is situated offset by the predefined distance compared to the second high-pressure output along the longitudinal axis in the first direction, the fourth high-pressure output being situated offset by the predefined distance compared to the third high-pressure output along the longitudinal axis in the first direction.

In one aspect, a system for coupling a fuel rail of a common rail fuel system to an internal combustion engine may include an engine wall having a plurality of openings. The fuel rail may have a main pipe portion located outside the engine wall, and a plurality of outlet pipes monolithically formed with the main pipe portion, each of the plurality of outlet pipes extending into a corresponding one of the plurality of openings of the engine wall. The system may further include a seal located in sealing engagement with each of the plurality of openings and a corresponding outlet pipe.

Pipe section of a common rail line and methods for manufacturing same

A pipe section of a common rail line is provided for the high-pressure injection of a fluid. The pipe section has at least a first pipe and an adapter in which the first pipe has a wall and extends at least along an axial direction. The wall has an inner circumferential surface and an outer circumferential surface and encloses a first line. The adapter has a connector piece and a second pipe. The connector piece extends annularly around the first pipe and is situated on the outer circumferential surface. A second line that is formed by the second pipe is fluidically connected to the first line via a first opening in the first pipe and a second opening in the connector piece. At least the adapter is manufactured by a metal powder injection molding process. Two methods for manufacturing a pipe section are also provided.

An engine head structure has a support bracket for mounting a fuel accumulator including a joining portion with a fuel injection device on a cylinder head, is disposed on a side of the fuel injection device or between adjacent fuel injection devices. The support bracket includes a member having a mounting portion on which the fuel accumulator is placed and mounted, a mounting leg portion extending from the mounting portion and mounted on the cylinder head, and an aligning leg portion extending from the mounting portion for positioning the support bracket with respect to the cylinder head.

A connection assembly is used to connect a first body to a second body. The first body includes a bore that is coaxial with a first axis, and a retainer opening that extends coaxially with a second axis. The second axis is perpendicular to the first axis and offset relative to the first axis. In addition, a portion of the retainer opening intersects the bore. The second body includes an insertion portion that is disposed in the bore, a fluid passage that extends through the insertion portion and communicates with the bore, and an outer surface of the second body has a channel. The connection assembly employs an elastic retaining pin that retains the insertion portion within the bore. The retaining pin is disposed in the retainer opening such that a portion of the retaining pin resides in the channel, and the retaining pin is self-aligning and self-retaining.
