INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE WITH INJECTION DEVICE ARRANGED IN THE CYLINDER BARREL, AND METHOD FOR OPERATING AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE OF SAID TYPE

Examples are directed to a fuel injection device positioned in a cylinder liner. In one example, a cylinder includes a combustion chamber which is jointly formed by a piston crown of a piston, by a cylinder barrel which laterally delimits the combustion chamber, and by a cylinder head. The cylinder includes an injection device positioned in the cylinder barrel for direct introduction of fuel into the combustion chamber, which injection device has at least one opening which, during a course of an injection process, is configured to be activated to introduce fuel into the combustion chamber, the injection device terminating flush, at a combustion chamber side, with the cylinder barrel.

DEVICE FOR ROLLING MOTION BY ENERGY FROM FUEL-OIL COMBUSTION
20210381424 · 2021-12-09 ·

A device wherein rolling motion is obtained by energy obtained as a result of combustion of solid, liquid or gas fuel oil. The device has an elliptic disc installed onto a symmetric ball on a ball shaft in a body. A fuel oil injector inlet channel and ignition bobbin inlet channels are provided in the body. A rolling wall is installed onto the body and an exhaust outlet pipe. The rolling wall separates a symmetric body chamber into a suction chamber and combustion chamber. In one cycle rolling of elliptic disk, fuel-oil taken into the suction chamber is transferred to combustion chamber. Fuel oil taking and fuel-oil compressing and explosion thereof by ignition is conducted simultaneously and continuously and not interrupted.

Engine device

An engine device having gas injectors attached to an intake manifold fixed to a side surface of a cylinder head. A fuel gas injected from the gas injectors is premixed in the intake manifold, and the resulting gas is supplied to a plurality of cylinders and ignited by ignition devices. The intake manifold has a configuration in which a plurality of intake branch pipes communicating with the cylinders are branched from an intake collecting pipe at an air supply side. The intake branch pipes include bent portions. In the bent portions of the intake branch pipes, inside inner walls near the cylinder head are bent at an acute angle.

WELDING METHOD AND WELDING DEVICE

An adjustment of the amount of energy in at least one specific applying unit is executed when energy is applied to a cylindrical member pair in which another cylindrical member is inserted inside a cylindrical member to melt and weld the cylindrical member pair in a circumferential direction. The adjustment is executed in association with a rotation angle to satisfy a relationship of Pd+Pw>, wherein Pd is an output decease rotation angle that decreases the energy amount from a steady energy amount HP applied from the specific applying unit in a welding end process, Pw is an overlap rotation angle at which the irradiation parts around the cylindrical member pair overlap with the steady energy amount HP, and is a separation angle between the specific applying unit and another applying unit adjacent to each other in a rotation direction around the axis.

Fuel injection system and method of operating a fuel injection system

A fuel injection system for an engine of a vehicle may include an injector nozzle mounted in an injector bore formed in a cylinder head of the engine, wherein a tip portion of the injector nozzle is protrudingly formed into a combustion chamber, and having a positioning system configured to adjust an axial position of the injector nozzle in the injector bore. The invention further provides a method of operating the fuel injection system.

Fuel injection strategies in opposed-piston engines with multiple fuel injectors

In an opposed-piston engine, two or more fuel injectors are mounted to a cylinder for direct side injection into the cylinder. The injectors are controlled so as to inject either a single fuel pulse or a plurality of fuel pulses per cycle of engine operation in order to initiate combustion during varying engine speeds and operating conditions.

An internal combustion engine injector mounting is configured to i) secure an injector (36) to an internal combustion engine body so that the injector can inject a heated aqueous fluid and a fuel into a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine, and ii) hold a catalyst so that the heated aqueous fluid and fuel are injected into the combustion chamber by passing through the catalyst. The catalyst is contained within the mounting to protect against oxidation by combustion processes that, in use, take place in the combustion chamber.
