A vehicle control apparatus includes a condition determining unit, a mode switching controller, and a notification controller. The condition determining unit is configured to determine whether enabling conditions set to enable a switching control to an engine stop mode are satisfied. The engine stop mode stops an engine of a vehicle in a driving state. The mode switching controller is configured to perform the switching control to the engine stop mode in response to that the condition determining unit determines that the enabling conditions are satisfied. The notification controller is configured to compare a measured time value and a threshold both related to the enabling condition which the condition determining unit determines as not being satisfied. The notification controller is configured to perform, in response to that the measured time value exceeds the threshold, a control of making notification that the switching control is in a disabled state.

METHOD FOR OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH A COMBUSTION ENGINE

The invention concerns a method (200) for operating a motor vehicle (100) with a combustion engine (110), including the determination (210) of a current operating state of the vehicle (100), the determination (220) of an emission state of the vehicle (100) during the determined operating state, carrying out (230) at least one measure to reduce emissions depending on the emission state and evaluating (240) the at least one measure in connection with the operating state with regard to its success in reducing emissions. Furthermore, a computing unit (130) and a computer program product for carrying out such a method (200) are proposed.

Method and system for activating in-vehicle power source

A system for a vehicle includes an input device configured to send an activation signal responsive to an input to start the vehicle. The system further includes a vehicle body controller, programmed to, responsive to the input and a lack of presence of a phone operating as a key, send an activation signal to activate a power source within a cabin of the vehicle for up to a predefined time period since a last vehicle start.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR START-STOP CONTROLLING OF VEHICLE, VEHICLE AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS
20220397087 · 2022-12-15 ·

The present application disclosed a a method and a device for controlling start-stop of a vehicle, a vehicle and an electronic apparatus. The method includes steps of: acquiring a first start-stop instruction, and determining a first start-stop type of the vehicle according to the first start-stop instruction; acquiring a second start-stop instruction, and determining a second start-stop type of the vehicle according to the second start-stop instruction; and performing start-stop controlling on an engine according to priorities of the first start-stop type and the second start-stop type. Therefore, the method can actively control the start-stop of the engine according to the priority of the start-stop type, which can well respond to the driving intention of the driver, the driving experience is improved, the start-stop time of the engine is saved, and the fuel consumption of the vehicle is greatly reduced, and the driving safety of the vehicle and the personal safety of the driver and passengers are guaranteed.

On-demand generator starting system

An operating system for a standby generator includes a control unit, a switch, an inverter, a terminal, a current sensor, a starter circuit, a power control circuit, and an ignition kill circuit. The control unit is powered by a rechargeable twelve volt DC battery. The switch is selectively operable by the control unit to connect one of a first input or a second input to an output. The second input receives the supply of electrical power from an internal combustion engine. The inverter is positioned between the DC battery and the first input, and supplies electrical power to the electrical device when a movable contact of the switch connects the output to the first input. The power control circuit is connected to the control unit and is operable to adjust the movable contact of the switch to selectively connect the output to either the first input or the second input.

Vehicle cotrol system with wirelessly-coupled underhood components

A vehicle control system (VCS) in a passenger compartment interfaces with underhood components using a Bluetooth® link. The underhood components include a siren assembly with a sound generator and backup battery. The battery enables the siren assembly to function after the vehicle's battery is disabled. The siren assembly includes a Bluetooth® transceiver for establishing the link with the VCS. The siren assembly monitors the hood of the vehicle through a hood sensor, to detect unauthorized opening. In response to such opening, the siren assembly transmits an alarm to the VCS, which transmits an alarm to a user's mobile device and/or a security service. The sound generator may also be activated, by itself or under control of the VCS. The siren assembly connects to the engine computer/ignition module, to allow the VCS to monitor engine speed, and facilitate proper start of the engine when the VCS receives a remote start command.

VEHICLE POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING THE SAME
20220355751 · 2022-11-10 · ·

A vehicle power supply system and a method for operating the same are provided. The vehicle power supply system includes a main battery and a sub-battery to supply power to an electronic load inside a vehicle, and a controller to control supplying of the power to the electronic load using at least one of the main battery or the sub-battery, by monitoring the main battery and the sub-battery. The controller determines whether the main battery allows entrance into Idle Stop and Go, determines whether the sub-battery is able to assist the ISG, and controls the sub-battery to assist the main battery to supply the power to the electronic load, when the main battery allows the entrance into the ISG, when the sub-battery is able to assist the ISG, and when entering into the ISG.
