Switch device
A switch device includes an operation button to be push-operated, and a sealing portion for sealing a gap between the operation button and an opening through which the operation button is inserted. The sealing portion may include a ring-shaped first seal that is in contact with the operation button and exhibits sealing properties, and a second seal that is harder than the first seal and is located on the outer side of the first seal. The first seal and the second seal may be integrated so as to form a frame of the sealing portion.
A SEALING ARRANGEMENT FOR A ROTATABLE SHAFT OF A COMBUSTION ENGINE
The present invention relates to a sealing arrangement for a rotatable shaft of a combustion engine. The rotatable shaft comprises a crankshaft journal, a crankshaft gear and a flywheel. The sealing arrangement comprises a sealing member configured to be arranged in an annular space between a surface defining an opening for said rotatable shaft through a stationary wall of the combustion engine and an outer periphery surface of the rotatable shaft. The sealing member comprises a radially outer portion to be fixedly arranged to the surface defining said opening. The crankshaft gear comprises a portion provided with a smooth outer periphery surface and that the sealing member comprises a radially inner portion comprising at least one sealing lip configured to sealingly abut against the outer periphery surface of the crankshaft gear.
ROTATIONAL MECHANICAL SYSTEMS HAVING REDUCED FRICTION SEALING SURFACES
In accordance with at least one aspect of this disclosure, a stationary housing for a rotational mechanical device includes an interior sealing surface configured to receive a rotationally stationary seal assembly that is allowed to move axially to track a journal shaft, wherein the interior sealing surface includes an anti-frictional coating.
Electric machine and method for operating an electric machine
An electric machine for starting an internal combustion engine, comprising a housing (10) having at least one sealing device (14) which seals an interior (10a) of the housing with respect to the surroundings of the housing (10), and at least one pressure reduction device (1), wherein the at least one pressure reduction device (1) is embodied so as to be moveable in a translatory fashion relative to the at least one sealing device (14) in order to form, in the case of an overpressure in the interior (10a) of the housing, at least one venting duct via which an at least partial reduction in pressure is ensured.
Gasket, magnetic switch of starter comprising same, and starter provided with magnetic switch
The present invention relates to a gasket, a magnetic switch of a starter including the same, and a starter including the magnetic switch, the gasket including: a membrane which carries out a sealing function and is made of a resin material having flexibility; and a membrane washer provided along the edge of the membrane in order to prevent bending of the membrane, wherein the membrane and the membrane washer are insert injected. Unlike prior art, the present invention can enhance the durability of the membrane by insert injection molding a hard membrane washer into the membrane having flexibility, can enhance a waterproofing performance by enabling the membrane to be firmly fixed to a plunger, and can enhance an assembly performance by enabling assembly through an automatic production line.
Electromagnetic relay
An electromagnetic relay for starting a motor of a starter includes a resistor to reduce an activation current that flows through the motor from a battery for activation of the motor, a relay contact that causes the starting current to flow while bypassing the resistor, a relay coil that forms an electromagnet when excited by energization, and a control circuit that controls an excited state of the relay coil for activation of the motor to open or close the relay contact, thus controlling energization of the motor from the battery via the resistor. The electromagnetic relay incorporates therein the control circuit.
Starter
A starter includes a motor unit, a drive shaft configured to receive a rotational force of the motor unit and rotate, a transmission pinion gear installed on the drive shaft, an idle shaft extending in a direction parallel to the drive shaft, an idle gear installed on the idle shaft and configured to mesh with the transmission pinion gear, a driving pinion gear installed on the idle shaft and configured to mesh with a ring gear of an engine, a gear cover configured to rotatably support portions of the drive shaft and the idle shaft and accommodate the transmission pinion gear and the idle gear, and a bracket section installed between the motor unit and the gear cover and configured to rotatably support a first end in an axial direction of the idle shaft.
Electrical machine
An integrated starter generator device comprising a housing, a stator and a rotor contained within the housing, the device further comprising control electronics operable to configure the device as either a starter or generator and contained entirely within the housing. The device may include a high current terminal having brass and rubber bonded together. The rubber forms both a sealing and an insulating function.
