Output device, condition monitoring device, wind turbine, output method, condition monitoring method and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing program
For each of actuators, the partial load ratio is output. An output device for a drive device of a wind turbine includes an obtaining unit for obtaining information relating to a load applied to each of a plurality of actuators, where the actuators are included in the drive device of the wind turbine and configured to cooperate with each other, a processing unit for, based on the information obtained by the obtaining unit, calculating a partial load ratio, where the partial load ratio represents a ratio of a load on each of the actuators to a total load and the total load is a sum of the loads on the respective actuators, and an output unit for outputting the partial load ratio.
Wind turbine control system having a thrust sensor
A wind turbine control system includes a thrust sensor and a braking system, and allows an increase in wind rotor load to be detected instantaneously and corrective action to be initiated. The system includes additional features such as deceleration control. In one embodiment, a turbine controller regulates the rate of deceleration of the rotor shaft.
HANDLING A WIND TURBINE IN A SEVERE WEATHER CONDITION
A method of handling a wind turbine is provided including a nacelle coupled via a yawing system to a tower for protection against high wind load, the method including: supplying a control signal to a yawing actuator of the yawing system, while the nacelle is in a first orientation; exerting, by the yawing actuator, a torque to the nacelle relative to the tower, thereby turning the nacelle to a second orientation being a downwind orientation.
Wind power installation and method for adjusting the rotor rotation axis
A wind power installation with a rotor which has two or more rotor blades and which is rotatably bearing-supported for rotation around a rotor rotation axis. The rotor is connected to a generator for generating electrical power. The rotor and the generator form a part of a turbine which is received by a turbine carrier. The turbine carrier is rotatably arranged at a supporting structure. The turbine is movably mounted in the turbine carrier via a bearing device so that the spatial position of the turbine in the turbine carrier can be modified. A pivoting range of the turbine corresponding to a pivoting range of the rotor rotation axis includes a first angle range and a second angle range relative to a reference plane, and the entire pivoting range is at least 120.
CONTROL SYSTEM FOR WIND TURBINE HAVING MULTIPLE ROTORS ARRANGED TO CONTROL SUPPORT ARM ORIENTATION
The invention is directed to a wind turbine system comprising a first pair of wind turbines mounted to a support structure by a first support arm arrangement, and a second pair of wind turbines mounted to the support structure by a second support arm arrangement. The first and second support arm arrangements are mounted to the support structure at a respective yaw unit so as to yaw about the major axis of the support structure. Moreover, the wind turbine system further includes a control system that is configured to control the yaw angle of each of the first and second support arm arrangements, wherein the control system is configured to identify the presence of a predetermined shutdown condition and, in response, the control system is operable to control the yaw angles of the first support arm arrangement and the second support arm arrangement to a predetermined safe state.
Wind turbine
Provided is a wind turbine including an active yaw system realized to maintain an upwind orientation of the wind turbine aerodynamic rotor during safe operating conditions, which active yaw system includes a number of yaw drive units, and wherein a yaw drive unit includes a negative brake; a principal power supply configured to supply power to the active yaw system during normal operation of the wind turbine; and a dedicated negative brake reserve power supply configured to supply power to the negative brakes in the event of a grid disconnect. A method of operating such a wind turbine is also provided.
Method and apparatus for braking a wind turbine in case of emergency
The invention is based on the problem of creating an additional device to act as a secondary emergency device in the case that one or more standard emergency devices fail to adjust the blade angle of one or multiple rotor blades into a position of power limitation. The method of braking a wind turbine in an emergency by adjusting the rotor blades for wind turbines with power control via the principle of pitch control or active stall control and of holding the position of a rotor blade for each rotor blade with at least one actuator and at least one holding brake is a redundant measure for an emergency. This enables one or more holding brakes to open depending on the rotor-blade direction that is required and to close or to be kept closed when an adjustment of a rotor-blade direction is not desired.
