Refrigerant compressor unit

A refrigerant compressor unit, including a compressor housing and at least one compressor element that is arranged in the compressor housing, is movable by bearing and drive parts, and operates in at least one compressor chamber, at least one lubricant supply point arranged in the compressor housing for at least one of the bearing and drive parts and/or compressor element, and a lubricant supply line to the at least one lubricant supply point, wherein the lubricant supply line has a lubricant storage chamber through which lubricant flows and in which a lubricant presence sensor is arranged for detecting the presence of lubricant in the lubricant storage chamber.

HEAT DISSIPATION ASSEMBLY FOR A LINEAR COMPRESSOR
20220106953 · 2022-04-07 ·

A linear compressor includes a housing defining a sump for collecting a lubricant and a pump for circulating the lubricant within the housing. A heat dissipation assembly includes a distribution conduit that is fluidly coupled to a hot oil collection point and defines a plurality of discharge ports for distributing the lubricant along the housing and back into the sump. A flow restricting member may be positioned under or wrapped around the distribution conduit to restrict the flow of lubricant.

Device and method for extending the lifespan of a shaft seal for an open-drive compressor

A device and method for extending the lifespan of a shaft seal for an open-drive compressor is provided. The device and method can also reduce and/or prevent deterioration of the shaft seal regardless of the operation condition of the open-drive compressor. The device and method can further reduce and/or prevent leakage of a lubricant and/or refrigerant that can cause deterioration of components within a transport refrigeration unit (TRU).

Oil separator

An oil separator includes a cover attached to an opening portion on a discharge side of a compressor, a discharge flow path formed in an inside of the cover, and an oil separation portion configured to separate an oil from a fluid that has flowed out from the discharge flow path. A dividing wall portion partitions an internal space facing the opening portion into a plurality of spaces. The dividing wall portion is provided in the inside of the cover. The internal space is a discharge space into which a high-pressure gas refrigerant discharged from the compressor flows. Each of the plurality of spaces faces a high-pressure chamber in the opening portion so as to be in direct communication with the high-pressure chamber.

BYPASS SYSTEM FOR REGULATING LUBRICATION OF RECIPROCATING MACHINES

A lubrication bypass system is disclosed for controlling flow of a lubricant to a reciprocating machine, such as two-stroke engines and two-stroke compressors, based upon one or more operating parameters. The lubrication bypass system can be positioned in fluid communication with a lubrication system that transports a primary flow of the lubricant from a lubricant reservoir to the reciprocating machine cylinder at a predetermined primary flow rate. The lubrication bypass system can be configured to divert a portion of the primary flow, a bypass flow, from the lubrication system at a bypass flow rate based upon the operating parameters. As a result, a secondary flow of lubricant remaining within the lubrication system can be supplied to the reciprocating machine at a secondary flow rate that is less than the primary flow rate. In this manner, the lubrication bypass system can regulate the secondary flow rate.

Compressor system and method for conditioning inlet air

The present disclosure provides a compressor system operable for compressing a working fluid such as air. A conditioner is positioned upstream of the compressor to reduce the humidity and may in certain forms control a temperature of the working fluid entering the compressor. An aftercooler and an oil cooler is positioned downstream of the compressor. A first heat exchange system may direct water from a source through the conditioner to the aftercooler and oil cooler. An oil heat exchange circuit directs oil from the compressor to the oil cooler and then to a regenerator prior to reentry into the compressor. A control system is operable for controlling portions of compressor system to provide inlet air to the compressor at a desired temperature and humidity.

An oil circulation ratio OCR of a compressor is reduced with a simple structure. A cylinder head 104 has a suction chamber 141 formed on the inside thereof in a radial direction and a discharge chamber 142 formed on the outside thereof in the radial direction, the suction and discharge chambers being separated by a first annular partition wall 104d. An oil storage chamber 148 is formed at a central portion of the cylinder head 104 by being separated from the suction chamber 141 by a second annular partition wall 104e. A pressure release passage 146 (101c.fwdarw.101d.fwdarw.103c.fwdarw.148.fwdarw.104e1) allows a crank chamber 140 and the suction chamber 141 to communicate with each other. The oil storage chamber 148 forms a portion of the pressure release passage 146, separates oil from a refrigerant flowing through the pressure release passage 146, and stores the oil.

Check valve and method and apparatus for extending life of check valve

A device and method are described for extending the life of check valves. An improved check valve having a double poppet and tapered guides is more robust, and a check valve protection device between the check valve and the environment into which fluid is injected protects the valve from a contaminating or corrosive environment. The check valve and check valve protection device are small and light weight to prevent vibration-induced failures. The check valve protection device preferably has an interior volume that fills quickly by relatively few cycles of the lubricant pump to reduce delay of lubricant to the injection point.
