Provided is a pumping system that includes a parallel dual chamber pumping mechanism and an attachable disposable cassette. The disposable cassette includes a multi-laminate membrane which facilitates efficient, accurate and uniform delivery of fluids. The multi-laminate membrane is held in intimate contact with the pumping fingers of the pumping mechanism by electrostatic or magnetic attraction, thereby allowing the pump to pull a vacuum without the need for a preloaded elastomeric pumping segment.

A micropump device is formed in a monolithic semiconductor body integrating a plurality of actuator elements arranged side-by-side. Each actuator element has a first chamber extending at a distance from a first face of the monolithic body; a membrane arranged between the first face and the first chamber; a piezoelectric element extending on the first face over the membrane; a second chamber, arranged between the first chamber and a second face of the monolithic body; a fluidic inlet path fluidically connecting the second chamber with the outside of the monolithic body; and a fluid outlet opening extending in a transverse direction in the monolithic body from the second face as far as the second chamber, through the first chamber. The monolithic formation of the actuator elements and the possibility of driving the actuator elements at different voltages enable precise adjustment of flows, from very low values to high values.

A multi-chamber wobble plate pump that includes a housing with an inlet port, an outlet port and a plurality of pump chambers. The pump further includes a plurality of inlet valves each located within one of the pump chambers to control fluid flow from the inlet port to the pump chambers. A double diaphragm pump includes multiple diaphragms that are mounted for reciprocation. The diaphragms are connected for simultaneous movement to form a diaphragm assembly. A first one of the diaphragms is clamped between a housing cover and a center section. A pumping chamber is formed between the first diaphragm and the cover. Pressure in the first pumping chamber is decreased to draw the diaphragm assembly towards the first fluid cover, thereby drawing the second diaphragm into a mounting position relative to the center section. A second cover is then mounted to the center section to clamp the second diaphragm between the second cover and the center section.

Each of the first pump chamber and the second pump chamber have an inlet valve and an outlet valve configured to establish a pumping direction. The pump also includes a first actuator and a second actuator. The first actuator is associated with the first pump chamber and the second actuator is associated with the second pump chamber. The first actuator and the second actuator are each configured to change a chamber volume of the respective pump chamber. The pump further includes a common inlet, and a common outlet. The common inlet and common outlet are in fluid communication with the first pump chamber and the second pump chamber and are configured to establish a flow direction. The pumping direction is aligned with the flow direction.

The powder supply apparatus also has a diaphragm pump having a suction port and a discharge port, and discharges air sucked from the suction port to the discharge port by an operation of a diaphragm. An atmospheric passage communicates the suction port of the diaphragm pump with the atmosphere. A communicating passage communicates the discharge port of the diaphragm pump with the powder receiving device. The extrusion port of the screw feeder is positioned within the atmospheric passage so as to supply the powder to the atmospheric passage.

The fluid storage unit can include a reservoir that is configured to hold a quantity of product, such as liquid soap. The fluid handling unit can include a pumping assembly and dispensing assembly. The soap pump can be configured to withdraw liquid soap from the reservoir, convert the liquid soap to foamed soap, and dispense the foamed soap from the discharge assembly.
