A peristaltic pump may include a rotor rotatably mounted on a base and an occlusion bed mounted on the base and moveable toward and away from the rotor. The peristaltic pump may also include a lid hingedly mounted to the base along a first hinge axis including a mounting bracket extending perpendicularly relative to the first hinge axis. A linkage assembly connecting the occlusion bed and the lid may include a pair of curved arms hingedly mounted to the mounting bracket along a second hinge axis parallel to the first hinge axis and a cam connecting the pair of curved arms and having a cam surface facing the mounting bracket, the cam being hingedly mounted to the occlusion bed at an end opposite the second hinge axis. The mounting bracket abuts the cam surface and form a cooperative connection between the lid and the occlusion bed via the linkage assembly.

The sensor output signal processing unit is arranged to receive the detection signal output by the sensor unit and discriminate at least three travel positions on the basis of the received detection signal.

Provided are an elastomeric-hose-compressing part, a cartridge, and a roller assembly for a pump head of a peristaltic pump, and a pump head for a peristaltic pump. The elastomeric-hose-compressing part includes a surface for compressing the elastomeric hose which has an arcuate shape along its length direction, wherein the surface for compressing the elastomeric hose is provided with flanges oppositely arranged on two side portions of the elastomeric-hose-compressing part in the width direction, the width direction of the elastomeric-hose-compressing part is perpendicular to the length direction, and the surface for compressing the elastomeric hose is formed by a continuous surface or by a plurality of surfaces sequentially arranged along the length direction. By providing flanges at two sides of the surface for compressing the elastomeric hose, the elastomeric-hose-compressing part as disclosed may reliably limit the elastomeric hose between the surface for compressing the elastomeric hose and the roller assembly of the peristaltic pump, which thus reduces abnormal abrasion of the elastomeric hose.

The invention also concerns a stator for a peristaltic pump, having a body with a planar surface and two or more fluid channels, each fluid channel having a compressible arcuate portion on or in the planar surface of the stator, the arcuate portions arranged to be compressed by a plurality of rollers mounted on a rotor, the arcuate portions each connecting to further portions of the fluid channel extending in a direction away from the planar surface such that the fluid channels take a three dimensional path within the body of the stator.

Peristaltic pump

A peristaltic pump comprises a rotor with rollers and first and second tracks mounted on opposites sides of the rotor. Each track is moveable between a first position adjacent the rotor and a second position spaced from the rotor. The tracks may be linked and moveable together so that as one track moves towards the rotor, the other moves away from the rotor and vice versa. In this way, a single pump can be used to provide two different modes of operation, e.g. pumping liquid when one track is adjacent the rotor and applying suction when the other track is adjacent the rotor.
