HYPOTROCHOID POSITIVE-DISPLACEMENT MACHINE
A displacement device including an inner rotor and an outer rotor with meshing projections. Points on each rotor trace a hypotrochoidal path relative to the other. The tips of the outer rotor projections may contact the inner rotor at Top Dead Center (TDC) and Bottom Dead Center (BDC) to form higher and lower pressure regions. Various elements may shape other elements to form seals.
ROOTS BLOWER
A roots blower includes driving and driven rotors that rotate while intermeshing with each other, driving and driven shafts fixed at the shaft centers of the driving and driven rotors, respectively, a driving gear attached to the end of the driving shaft, a driven gear that is attached to the end of the driven shaft and intermeshes with the driving gear, a rotor chamber that houses the driving and driven rotors, a gear chamber that houses the driving and driven gears, and driving and driven bearings that rotatably support the driving and driven shafts, respectively. The driving and driven gears are lubricated by a grease.
Roots pump having a seal member with first and second projections
A housing unit of a Roots pump includes a rotor housing, which includes a peripheral wall, and a cover member, which closes an opening of the rotor housing. At least one of a mating surface of the peripheral wall or a mating surface of the cover member includes an annular first groove accommodating a seal member. The rotor housing includes a bulging portion including a second groove. The seal member incudes first projections, which project from an annular seal body, and a second projection, which projects further radially inward from the seal body than the first projections. Each first projection includes a distal end that contacts a side surface on a radially inner side or on a radially outer side of the first groove. The second projection is arranged in the second groove to determine the position of the seal body in the first groove.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR COMPRESSION OF AMMONIA SYNTHESIS GAS AND RECYCLE GAS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF AMMONIA BY SCREW COMPRESSORS
A method for producing ammonia may be provided. The method may include supplying ammonia synthesis gas to a synthesis gas screw compressor and compressing the synthesis gas. The compressed synthesis gas may be joined with a flow of recycle gas compressed in a recycle gas screw compressor. The compressed combined flow may then be introduced to an ammonia reactor. The ammonia reactor may discharge ammonia, purge gas, and unconverted gas, which may be the recycle gas.
