Scroll Compressor
Provided is a scroll compressor capable of reducing a shaft voltage and achieving space savings for the entire apparatus. A scroll compressor 100 includes a rotor 32 that is stored in a motor casing 14; a stator 31 that is stored in the motor casing 14, and drives the rotor 32 to rotate; a rotary shaft 12 that is held by bearings 33 and 34, and rotates integrally with the rotor 32; an end bracket 16 through which one end portion of the rotary shaft 12 passes, and which seals the motor casing 14; an orbiting scroll 44 that supports the other end portion of the rotary shaft 12, and orbits as the rotary shaft 12 rotates; a fixed scroll 43 that is disposed facing the orbiting scroll 44; a suction type cooling fan 13 which is fixed to one end portion of the rotary shaft 12 while being apart by a clearance from the end bracket 16, and which suctions outside air through a suction port provided in an end surface 132A of a fan cover 132, and generates cooling wind for cooling the fixed scroll 43 or the orbiting scroll 44 in the fan cover 132, as a rotary vane 131 accommodated in the fan cover 132 rotates; and a discharge brush 60 which is fixed to the end bracket 16 facing the cooling fan 13, and one end of which is in contact with the rotary shaft 12.
Sliding member for pump and pump operation state detection system
Provided are a sliding member for pumps in which generation of a wear substance is quickly and accurately grasped even if the wear substance is generated when the sliding member slides while being in contact with another member, and a pump operation state detection system using the sliding member. The pump operation state detection system includes a uniaxial eccentric screw pump, a detection device capable of detecting metal powder in a fluid discharged from the uniaxial eccentric screw pump, and a determination device. In the uniaxial eccentric screw pump, a stator is arranged so as to be exposed to a fluid conveyance path through which the fluid flows. The stator is configured to slide while being in contact with a rotor along with operation of the uniaxial eccentric screw pump. The stator is made of a resin or a rubber and contains 10-30% of metal powder by weight ratio.
Bearing arrangement and wear indicator for a liquid ring vacuum pump
A liquid-ring vacuum pump comprises a pump casing and a shaft eccentrically mounted in the pump casing. An impeller and a rotor of a drive motor are connected to the shaft. A disk cam is arranged parallel to the impeller. A first main bearing for the shaft is arranged between the impeller and the rotor of the drive motor, on the plane of the disk cam. The impeller is arranged between the first main bearing and a second main bearing. The arrangement of the bearings prevents the shaft from bending, thus allowing the leakage gap between the impeller and the disk cam to be kept small.
ROTARY VANE PUMP VANE WEAR DETECTION
An assembly for detecting wear of a vane of a rotary vane pump, the assembly comprising: a vane configured to be mounted in a radial slot of a rotor of a rotary vane pump, the vane having a vane body of non-electrically conductive material, the vane body having a radially outer end that, in use, extends to contact an electrically earthed housing of the rotor; an electrically conductive sensor element housed within the vane body, the sensor element being electrically connected to a positive electric potential (+) and having an electrically conductive tip that becomes exposed as the vane body radially outer end wears, to make electrical contact with the housing, in use, such as to create a closed electrical circuit between the positive potential and the earthed housing, to generate an electrical signal indicative of wear of the vane.
METHOD FOR DETERMINING OR MONITORING THE DELIVERY FLOW OF AN ECCENTRIC SCREW PUMP
A method for determining or monitoring the effective delivery flow of an eccentric screw pump that has a rotor rotating eccentrically in a stator at a pump frequency. The effective delivery flow is determined from the difference between an ideal delivery flow and a backflow, which backflow is dependent on at least one gap in the sealing line between rotor and stator. An operating parameter of the pump representing the gap is measured which pulses periodically with the pump frequency, the pulsation amplitude of which is dependent on the state of wear of the rotor and/or of the stator and is related to a tilting of the rotor in the stator. The backflow is calculated repeatedly using a mathematical model in dependence on the measured values for the operating parameter and on predetermined characteristic values of the pump and/or of the medium to be delivered.
