Compressor with compliant seal
A compressor may include a shell, first and second scroll members, a floating seal, a muffler plate, and a wear ring. The shell defines a discharge chamber and a suction chamber. The floating seal may sealingly engage the second scroll member. The muffler plate defines the discharge chamber and the suction chamber. The wear ring may sealingly engage the muffler plate and the floating seal such that the wear ring, the muffler plate, and the floating seal fluidly isolate the discharge chamber from the suction chamber. The muffler plate may include an axially facing surface that contacts the wear ring. The axially facing surface may include an annular recess. The wear ring may at least partially cover the annular recess. The annular recess may provide clearance between the muffler plate and the wear ring to allow the wear ring to deflect relative to the muffler plate during compressor operation.
Sealing arrangement
A sealing arrangement between a rotating plane surface on a rotor and a machine housing prevents flow of process fluid between an internal volume and an external volume of the machine housing. The sealing arrangement includes a piston arrangement, and a sealing bearing ring between the piston arrangement and the rotating plane surface. A fluid supply line supplies pressurized lubrication fluid through the machine housing to a piston cavity, wherein the piston arrangement further includes piston fluid channels and the bearing sealing ring includes lubrication conduits through the bearing sealing ring, corresponding with the piston fluid channels. The pressurized lubrication fluid is arranged for moving the piston arrangement against the sealing bearing ring and thus moving the sealing bearing ring against the sealing surface thus forming a sealing arrangement.
Tip seal and scroll fluid machine using same
Provided is a tip seal that makes it possible to improve the durability of a tip seal installed on the tooth tip of a wall even when a continuously inclined section is provided to the wall. The tip seal is provided with: a tip seal inclined section (7A) installed in a groove section of a wall in which the height changes continuously in a spiral direction; and a tip seal flat section (7B) that is installed in a groove section of the wall in which the height is fixed in the spiral direction and that is adjacent to the tip seal inclined section (7A). A recess (8) is formed at a position away from the adjacent area between the tip seal inclined section (7A) and the tip seal flat section (7B).
Air conditioner having compressor including curved suction port and a plurality of exhaust ports
The present disclosure provides a compressor and an air conditioner having the same. The compressor includes: a main shaft with a convex portion and a slip sheet; a cylinder; and an air inlet and outlet device including a disk body and an air suction port including an outer side, an inner side and a connecting side located between the outer side and the inner side, wherein the outer side is overlapped with an inner wall of the cylinder or is located on the inner side of the inner wall of the cylinder, the inner side is overlapped with an outer wall of the convex portion or is located on the outer side of the convex portion, and the connecting side is overlapped with a side wall of the slip sheet or is located on the inner side of the side wall of the slip sheet.
NON-LUBRICATED SYSTEM WITH ABRADABLE SEALING ELEMENT, CORRESPONDING SEALING ELEMENT AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING THE SYSTEM
A non-lubricated system for pumping a gas, includes a stationary stator with a housing that includes a rotor cavity and at least one rotatable rotor element incorporated within the rotor cavity. The stator includes at least one self-supporting sealing element, incorporated within the rotor cavity between an end face of at least one of the rotor elements and an interior wall of the housing to form a seal along the corresponding end face. At least one self-supporting sealing element is provided with an abradable coating on at least one side facing the rotor.
SCROLL COMPRESSOR WITH IMPROVED SEALING PERFORMANCE OF BACK PRESSURE CHAMBER
A scroll compressor includes a movable scroll and a fixed portion. The fixed portion has a first bearing surface. The movable scroll has a second bearing surface. The scroll compressor includes a back pressure chamber located between the movable scroll and the fixed portion. At least one of the movable scroll and the fixed portion is provided with a groove disposed on a periphery of the back pressure chamber. The scroll compressor further includes a sealing assembly at least partially installed in the groove. One end of the sealing assembly is in contact with a groove bottom surface in the groove, and another end of the sealing assembly is in contact with the first bearing surface or the second bearing surface. The sealing assembly includes a wear-resistant ring and an elastic ring. The elastic ring has at least one recess on a surface thereof.
COMPRESSOR ARRANGEMENT WITH INTEGRATED MOTOR
A rotary compressor arrangement includes a stationary member centered at a shaft axis and a rotary member rotating around the stationary member; the stationary member and the rotary member being inside a hermetically sealed inner volume within the rotary compressor arrangement; the rotary compressor arrangement comprising a stator with a winding arrangement generating an electromagnetic force inside the stator, the stator being arranged outside the hermetically sealed inner volume; the rotary compressor arrangement further comprising a plurality of magnets directly attached to the rotary member and facing the winding arrangement in the stator such that the rotary member is entrained in rotation by a rotating electromagnetic field from the stator.

Inlet port configuration for roots-type supercharger
A supercharger having twisted meshing rotors sealingly contained within a housing having an inlet port to admit air into the meshing rotors and an outlet port to expel air from the meshing rotors, the rotors having mesh points where the rotors contact one another and spaces between their mesh points to accept air from the inlet port and propel it to the outlet port as the rotors are rotated and the mesh points travel axially, the housing, inlet and rotors defining an angle known as the seal transfer angle which is greater than or equal to zero degrees when the inlet port is closed and the volume of air between rotors is sealed and has no leakage path. In the described supercharger the housing, rotors and inlet port are configured to have a negative seal transfer angle of, e.g., −10 to −40 degrees or more, up to the maximum available, and to provide a leakage path for an angular portion of the rotors' rotation, improving high end performance without degrading low end performance.
