The invention is based on a pump apparatus, in particular a magnetic coupling pump apparatus, having a rotor shaft (16), having a pump impeller (22) which is securely connected to the rotor shaft (16), having at least one axial bearing (18) which rotatably supports the rotor shaft (16) at a side facing the pump impeller (22), having a magnetic pump stator (42), having a magnetic pump rotor (44) which is connected to the rotor shaft (16) in a rotationally secure manner, having a containment can (30) which extends between the magnetic pump stator (42) and the magnetic pump rotor (44) and which at least partially closes a central pump space (28), and having at least one central support element (32) which is mounted in the region of the pump impeller (22) in a rotationally secure manner.

It is proposed that the pump apparatus (1) have an elastomer disk (36) which is arranged between the support element (32) and the axial bearing (18) and that the magnetic pump stator (42) and the magnetic pump rotor (44) be arranged with an axial offset (X) with respect to each other, wherein the magnetic pump stator (42) and the magnetic pump rotor (44) are provided as a result of the axial offset (X) to produce an axial force F(ax, mag) in the direction of the elastomer disk (36).

The invention relates to a pump assembly, especially of a mechanical seal assembly, for supplying a fluid, especially to a mechanical seal (2a, 2b), comprising exactly one drive (11) comprising a drive shaft (24), a first axial pump (21), which conveys the fluid in the axial direction (X-X) of the drive shaft, a second axial pump (22), which conveys the fluid in the axial direction of the drive shaft, and a radial pump (23), which conveys the fluid in the radial direction (R) of the drive shaft, wherein the first axial pump (21) and the second axial pump (22) are arranged in front of the radial pump (23) in the flow-through direction (B) of the fluid across the pump assembly, and wherein the drive (11) simultaneously drives the first axial pump (21), the second axial pump (22) and the radial pump (23).

The system can include a rotor assembly at a proximal portion of the impeller shaft. A secondary flow pathway can be disposed along a lumen of the impeller shaft. During operation of the blood flow assist system, blood can be pumped proximally along the primary flow pathway and the secondary flow pathway. The system can include a sleeve bearing distal the impeller. The system can include a drive unit having a distal end disposed distal a proximal end of the second impeller. The drive unit comprising a drive magnet and a drive bearing between the drive magnet and the impeller assembly.
