PUMP APPARATUS, IN PARTICULAR MAGNETIC COUPLING PUMP APPARATUS
The invention is based on a pump apparatus, in particular a magnetic coupling pump apparatus, having a rotor shaft (16), having a pump impeller (22) which is securely connected to the rotor shaft (16), having at least one axial bearing (18) which rotatably supports the rotor shaft (16) at a side facing the pump impeller (22), having a magnetic pump stator (42), having a magnetic pump rotor (44) which is connected to the rotor shaft (16) in a rotationally secure manner, having a containment can (30) which extends between the magnetic pump stator (42) and the magnetic pump rotor (44) and which at least partially closes a central pump space (28), and having at least one central support element (32) which is mounted in the region of the pump impeller (22) in a rotationally secure manner.
It is proposed that the pump apparatus (1) have an elastomer disk (36) which is arranged between the support element (32) and the axial bearing (18) and that the magnetic pump stator (42) and the magnetic pump rotor (44) be arranged with an axial offset (X) with respect to each other, wherein the magnetic pump stator (42) and the magnetic pump rotor (44) are provided as a result of the axial offset (X) to produce an axial force F(ax, mag) in the direction of the elastomer disk (36).
SYSTEM FOR ADAPTING FOOT SPAS FOR USE WITH DISPOSABLE PUMPS
A system for use with a spa adapted for use with a pump having a drive hub. The system comprises an adapter and a disposable pump. The adapter: has a housing defining a recess, a rotor in the recess and an operative position; and is adapted, when operatively positioned: for rotation of the rotor upon rotation of the drive hub. The disposable pump has: a housing having a pair of sides and a void, one of the sides defining an intake and a port, the intake communicating with a center of the void and the port communicating with a void periphery; an impeller in the void; and an operative position adjacent the adapter. The disposable pump is adapted, when operatively positioned, for rotation upon rotation of the drive hub and consequent rotation of the rotor, to draw water through the intake and eject water through the one or more ports.
Automotive accessory having an electromagnet pulley assist mechanism equipped with circumferentially spaced teeth nested with a conductive body
An electrically and mechanically driven automotive accessory including a housing, an electric motor, a pulley, and a pulley assist mechanism. The electric motor comprises a stator assembly that is mounted to the housing and a rotating assembly that is mounted to a shaft. The electric motor creates a primary torque flow path that drives rotation of the rotating assembly relative to the stator assembly. The pulley is rotatable relative to the shaft and the rotating assembly. The pulley assist mechanism includes a plurality of circumferentially spaced teeth nested with a conductive body, a rotor body fixedly mounted to the shaft, and an electromagnet that is configured to induce a magnetic field between the circumferentially spaced teeth, the rotor body, and the pulley, which creates a secondary torque flow path between the pulley and the rotor body.
ELECTRICAL MACHINE
An electrical pump or generator apparatus comprises a sealed housing having fluid inlet and outlet ports and an impeller rotatably mounted inside a cavity of the housing, the impeller being mounted on a shaft for rotation about an axis, the shaft being confined inside the sealed housing. An electric machine of the pump has a stator disposed outside the housing and a rotor sealed inside the housing. In use a rotating magnetic field extends through a boundary wall of the housing to magnetically couple the stator and rotor on opposite sides of thereof. The need for a shaft seal is thus avoided and the apparatus is more compact than conventional pumps and generators.
SQUIRREL CAGE PULLEY ASSIST ELECTROMAGNETIC WATER PUMP
Device to assist the performance of a heart
A device to assist the performance of a heart with at least one pump that is formed as a rotary pump and driven via a magneto coupling.
ELECTROMAGNETIC ROTARY DRIVE, A CENTRIFUGAL PUMP AND A PUMP UNIT
An electromagnetic rotary drive includes a rotor and a stator. The rotor magnetically driven without contact about an axial direction, and magnetically levitated without contact with respect to the stator. The rotor actively magnetically levitated in a radial plane and passively magnetically stabilized in the axial direction against tilting. The stator has coil cores, each including a longitudinal limb extending in the axial direction and a transverse limb arranged in the radial plane. The transverse limb extends from the longitudinal limb and is bounded by an end face. A concentrated winding is arranged on each of the longitudinal limbs surrounding a respective longitudinal limb. The end faces have a first distance in the radial direction from a first portion and a second distance in the radial direction from a second portion, the second distance greater than the first distance.

The pump assembly comprises a first casing disposed outside the container in contact with the wall, a first magnetic assembly mounted to the first casing and operatively associated with a drive motor, a second casing disposed inside the container in contact with the wall, and a second magnetic assembly mounted to the second casing and operatively associated with an propeller. The first magnetic assembly includes a rotatable magnetic drive member drivingly coupled to the drive motor. The magnetic drive member is magnetically coupled to the magnetic driven member through the wall for imparting a rotary driving force of the drive motor to the propeller. Furthermore, the second casing is detachably connected to the second side of the wall of the container solely by magnetic attraction force between the first and second magnetic assemblies.
Pulley assisted electromagnetic water pump
