Fuel pump and fuel supply system using the same
A fuel pump includes a motor having an armature which rotates about an axis, the motor also having a stator which circumferentially surrounds the armature such that a fuel passage is defined between the armature and the stator, whereby rotation of the armature induces a circumferential flow of fuel within the fuel passage; a pumping arrangement which is rotated by the armature and which pumps fuel from a first inlet to a first; a second inlet which introduces fuel into the fuel passage; a second outlet which discharges fuel from the fuel passage; and a flow impedance member in the fuel passage which impedes the circumferential flow of fuel within the fuel passage, thereby generating a pressure gradient across opposing sides of the flow impedance member such that fuel entering the fuel passage is pumped to the second outlet.
COMPACT CENTRIFUGAL PUMP WITH MAGNETICALLY SUSPENDED IMPELLER
A centrifugal fluid pump with a fully magnetically suspended rotor to improve blood compatibility when pumping blood is disclosed. The pump stabilizes radial displacements of a disc-like rotor with active control through separate electric motor and magnetic bearings to improve the pump's critical performances including device packaging size, system simplicity and reliability, stiffness and other dynamic performances of suspension, power efficiency, and others.
Integrated pumps
In accordance with at least one aspect of this disclosure, a pump includes a housing having one or more fluid inlets and one or more fluid outlets. The housing is configured to act as a pump housing for passing a fluid from the one or more fluid inlets to the one or more fluid outlets and configured to act as a stator for a motor. The pump also includes a cylinder encased within the housing and mounted on a shaft for rotation within the housing. The cylinder is configured to act as an impeller to drive fluid from the one or more fluid inlets through the housing to the one or more fluid outlets and configured to act as a rotor for the motor.
Pump for circulating water
A pump for circulating water includes an upper housing formed with an inlet and an outlet of fluid; a lower housing installed to fit in a lower side of the upper housing, having a receiving space formed therein; an inner housing having an edge part interposed between the upper housing and the lower housing, an impeller receiving groove formed therein, and a shaft support part formed at the center of the bottom of the impeller receiving groove; an impeller received in the impeller receiving groove to be rotatably installed, so as to form a flow pathway between the impeller and an inner surface of the inner housing for the flow of fluid; a rotor installed inside the impeller; and a stator installed in the lower housing to be positioned to face the rotator.
Bidirectional piston seals with pressure compensation
An electric submersible pumping system for use in pumping fluids from a wellbore includes a motor, a pump driven by the motor, and a fluid expansion module connected to the motor. The fluid expansion module includes a piston seal housing and a piston assembly contained within the piston seal housing. The piston assembly includes a piston body having an exterior surface, a plurality of seals connected to the exterior surface of the piston body and a pressure equalization system. The pressure equalization system reduces a pressure differential between fluid in an annular space between the plurality of seals and fluid surrounding the first piston assembly.
Thermistor flow path
A fluid pump includes a pump element where rotation of the pump element generates suction at the inlet and pressure at the outlet to move fluid through a fluid path. An inlet orifice directs a portion of the fluid through the accessory fluid path that includes a low-restriction return path providing a continuous flow of the fluid through the accessory fluid path and to an outlet orifice. A circuit board housing includes a contoured portion and a PCB with a thermistor in communication with contoured portion. The continuous flow is directed between the contoured portion and the outlet orifice between a rotor and the outer wall. The low-restriction return path maintains a temperature of the continuous flow of the fluid within the contoured portion of the accessory fluid path to be similar to a temperature of the fluid in the fluid path.
Motor-driven centrifugal pump for the primary circuit of small or medium-sized modular nuclear reactors
A motor-driven centrifugal pump for circulating a coolant in a primary circuit of a nuclear reactor comprises a sealed motor unit, a hydraulic part and a shaft which is immersed in the coolant, turned by the sealed motor unit and pumping the coolant by an impeller of the hydraulic part secured to the shaft. The motor unit comprises a dry stator and an immersed rotor, mounted securely on the shaft. The motor-driven pump also comprises an immersed flywheel mounted securely on the shaft between the rotor of the motor unit and the impeller of the hydraulic part, allowing a minimum slowing-down time after the electrical power supply is cut; and an immersed anti-backspin device, configured to mechanically block the rotation of the shaft in a predetermined direction.
PUMP APPARATUS
A pump apparatus is provided with a tank in which a handled-fluid having insulating properties is stored, and with a pump that is mounted in the tank. The pump has an impeller in which a magnet is embedded, a motor stator that is disposed at a position opposing the magnet, a pump casing that houses the impeller, and a motor casing that houses the motor stator. The motor casing is open such that a winding of the motor stator is immersed in the handled-fluid.
Electric-motor-driven liquid pump
A liquid pump has a housing with a suction connection, a pressure connection and a electric motor for rotationally driving a conveying device that has a suction inlet and pressure outlet which communicate with the suction connection and the pressure connection respectively. An electronic power unit for the electric motor is adjacent to the motor and extends transversely to the axis of rotation and is on the rear side of the partition wall of the housing. The suction inlet is arranged at a height smaller than an inner radius of an annular gap between the stator and rotor, whereas a rotor passage extends at a constant height, so that a liquid inducted by way of the suction connection is guided in part via the annular gap and undergoes a deflection at the partition wall, cooling the latter before it passes through the rotor passage to the suction inlet.
Fuel pump having electrically insulated bearings
A fuel delivery pump for delivering fuel, having an electric motor and having a pump impeller that is driven by means of the electric motor, wherein the pump impeller is connected by means of a shaft to a rotor of the electric motor such that a rotational movement of the rotor is transmitted via the shaft to the pump impeller, wherein the shaft is mounted by means of an axial bearing in an axial direction and/or by means of a radial bearing in a radial direction relative to a pump stage in which the pump impeller is arranged, wherein an electrical insulation element is arranged between the axial bearing and the pump stage, and/or an electrical insulation element is arranged between the radial bearing and the pump stage.
