FLOW DELIVERY SYSTEM
A flow delivery system to deliver and monitor a liquid flow, using a pump, and a monitoring device (e.g. a flow meter) are described. A controller determines if the flow is a liquid flow or a gas flow by reducing a drive signal for the pump from a first drive signal to a second drive signal. This changes the characteristics of both the pump drive signal and the characteristics of the resulting flow. Based on the change in the characteristics, the flow is determined to be a liquid flow or a gas flow.
Method of controlling a pump and motor
A variable frequency drive system and a method of controlling a pump driven by a motor with the pump in fluid communication with a fluid system is provided. The method includes monitoring a pressure in the fluid system, monitoring and adjusting an operating frequency of the motor to maintain the pressure at a pressure set point, and, based on the monitored operating frequency, causing the pump to temporarily boost the pressure in the fluid system to a temporary boost set point for a first time period. The method also includes determining whether the temporarily boosted pressure in the fluid system stays above the pressure set point for a second time period and causing the pump to enter a sleep mode when the temporarily boosted pressure stays above the pressure set point through the second time period.

CONDENSATE PUMP ASSEMBLY & CONTROL METHODS
The present disclosure comprises a method of controlling a condensate pump assembly which comprises a pump and a controller connected to the pump, the method comprising measuring a current value drawn by the pump, comparing the measured current value to a predetermined threshold current value and controlling operation of the condensate pump assembly based on the current value comparison. Also provided is a condensate pump assembly for use in an air conditioning system, comprising a housing comprising an upper housing portion and a pump arranged to pump liquid from a liquid inlet to a liquid outlet.
Pump and method for controlling a pump
A pump having a drive unit with an electric motor, a hydraulic unit connected to the electric motor, and an integrated control unit operatively connected to the electric motor and configured for monitoring and controlling the pump. An integrated pressure sensor, connected to the control unit, has a fixed reference pressure. The control unit determines a liquid level of a liquid surrounding the pump based on a relation between an actual value of the pressure sensor and a reference value. A method for calibrating the pump comprises initiating pumping, continuing pumping until the liquid level is equal to a predetermined calibration level, determining the actual pressure value when the liquid level is equal to the predetermined calibration level, and calibrating the pump by setting a new reference pressure value corresponding to the actual pressure value.
METHOD OF CONTROLLING A PUMP AND MOTOR
A method is provided for controlling a pump driven by a motor with the motor connected to a drive. The method can include determining a parameter value related to a fault condition, comparing the parameter value to a threshold value, and adjusting a speed control of the drive based on the comparison of the determined parameter to the threshold value.

Method for identifying if a submersible pump is sucking partly liquid and partly air
A method for stopping a submersible pump when the pump is snoring, wherein the pump is operatively connected to a control unit. The method includes regulating, by way of the control unit, the operational speed of the pump in order to direct an average power of the pump towards a predetermined set level. The method includes determining whether the instantaneous power of the pump is outside a predetermined range, by monitoring at least one of the parameters: power [P], current [I] and power factor [cos ϕ].The method further includes determining whether the operational speed of the pump is increasing, and stopping the pump due to snoring, by way of the control unit, when the instantaneous power of the pump is determined as being outside the predetermined range at the same time the operational speed of the pump is determined as increasing.
Flow control
A pumping system for at least one aquatic application comprises a motor coupled to a pump and a controller in communication with the motor. The controller may be adapted to determine a first motor speed, determine a present flow rate using curves of speed versus flow rate for discrete power consumptions, generate a difference value between the present flow rate and a reference flow rate, and/or drive the motor at a second motor speed based on the difference value until reaching a steady state condition.
