ELECTRIC PUMP AND FAILURE STATE NOTIFICATION METHOD FOR ELECTRIC PUMP
An electric pump includes a pump, a motor configured to drive the pump, a motor drive unit having a switching element and configured to drive the motor with electric power output from the switching element, and a control unit configured to output a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal for driving the switching element to the motor drive unit. The PWM signal output from the control unit, is used for monitoring a state of the motor. When the motor stops abnormally, the control unit sets a frequency of the PWM signal for use in monitoring the state of the motor to a frequency outside of a frequency band which is used when the motor is normal.
Well management system
A well management system provides Internet-enabled monitoring, configuration, and control of a well system that may include a pump and a pressure tank. A controller is operatively coupled to the pump. The controller controls the pump based on pressure readings from a pressure sensor to maintain a configured pressure range within the system. The controller can communicate with a management system via a communications network. The management system is further in communication with one or more client devices, which may be associated with a homeowner, a service provider, a manufacturer, or the like. Via the management system, the client devices can receive information from the controller and send commands to the controller.
Automotive accessory having an electromagnet pulley assist mechanism equipped with circumferentially spaced teeth nested with a conductive body
An electrically and mechanically driven automotive accessory including a housing, an electric motor, a pulley, and a pulley assist mechanism. The electric motor comprises a stator assembly that is mounted to the housing and a rotating assembly that is mounted to a shaft. The electric motor creates a primary torque flow path that drives rotation of the rotating assembly relative to the stator assembly. The pulley is rotatable relative to the shaft and the rotating assembly. The pulley assist mechanism includes a plurality of circumferentially spaced teeth nested with a conductive body, a rotor body fixedly mounted to the shaft, and an electromagnet that is configured to induce a magnetic field between the circumferentially spaced teeth, the rotor body, and the pulley, which creates a secondary torque flow path between the pulley and the rotor body.

FUME EXTRACTION SYSTEMS
A fume extraction apparatus (1) comprising an extraction pump, and the apparatus comprises a first interface (12) for connection to a process equipment, and a second interface (10) for connection to a system controller, wherein the apparatus comprises an intraconnection (15) to enable signals to be communicated between the first interface and the second interface.
Pump control method
The invention relates to a pump control method for the control of the operation of a pump system with at least two pump assemblies (2) which are arranged parallel or in series to one another. The method includes determining a specific total power E.sub.S of the complete pump system which defines a total power in relation to a hydraulic total load of the complete pump system, determining a specific individual power E.sub.P,n of each pump assembly (2) which defines an individual power in relation to the individual hydraulic load of the respective pump assembly (2), computing an individual load factor E.sub.gain,n for each pump assembly (2) according to the equation
and adapting the individual hydraulic load (Q.sub.n; H.sub.n) of the pump assemblies (2) in dependence on a desired hydraulic load (Q.sub.D; H.sub.D) as well as on the individual load factor E.sub.gain,n of the respective pump assembly (2).
COMPRESSED AIR SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATING SAME
An improved compressed air system utilizes one or more base compressors, such as fixed speed drive compressors, to meet the compressed air demands and one or more trim compressors, such as variable speed drive compressors, to meet the variations in the demand. The operation of both the base and trim compressors may be controlled to provide improved overall efficiency while meeting the transient load demands. The control may spread the demands over the various base compressors to improve the overall loading on each base compressor. Efficiency metrics may be utilized to control the switching between base and trim compressors. Unloading of a base compressor may be controlled to avoid undesirable changes in system performance.
Reducing Fault Energy from an Electric Motor Drive for a Compressor
A system has an electric motor having a stator and a rotor. The rotor rotates with a shaft and the shaft drives a fluid rotor. A control senses a fault condition on the electric motor. The control actuates a speed reduction feature when a fault is detected to bring rotation of the motor rotor and the fluid rotor to a stop more rapidly than if the speed reduction feature had not been actuated.
Apparatus and Method for Monitoring a Pump
An apparatus for monitoring of a pump includes a control module, and an error detection unit, wherein a support vector machine based module is provided that receives an estimated output quantity data value from the control module, processes the estimated output quantity data value to provide a processed estimated output quantity data value via the support vector machine, and supplies the processed estimated output quantity data value to the error detection unit instead of the estimated output quantity data value of the control module.
