Wind wheel and blower comprising the same
A wind wheel including a first air plate, a second air plate, and a plurality of blades disposed between the first air plate and the second air plate. The first air plate includes a central part and an air inlet disposed in the central part; each two adjacent blades form an air duct. The plurality of blades each includes an inlet section next to the air inlet, an intermediate section, and an outlet section. The thickness of the intermediate section is greater than the thickness of the inlet section and the thickness of the outlet section.
Control system for rotating thrust-producing apparatus
A rotating thrust-producing apparatus having a control system includes a rotatable foil having opposite first and second faces and a plurality of spaced apart fins occupying a periphery thereof. A pressure control assembly includes a first adjustable control surface disposed adjacent to a first face of the foil so as to be selectively movable over the fins of the foil. The pressure control assembly may include a second control surface disposed adjacent to the second face of the foil and which may be adjustable. As the foil is rotated, and the at least one adjustable control surface is moved over fins of the foil, a fluid pressure imbalance is created, causing a thrust in the direction of the pressure deficit.
Vaneless supersonic diffuser for compressor
A mixed-flow compressor includes an impeller attached to a shaft and rotatable about a shaft axis. A vaneless diffuser is located axially downstream of the impeller and has a converging portion and a diverging portion. A vaned diffuser is located axially downstream of the vaneless diffuser.
Mixed-flow compressor configuration for a refrigeration system
A centrifugal compressor includes a casing. An impeller is arranged within the casing. The impeller is rotatable about an axis. A diffuser section is arranged within the casing. The diffuser section is positioned axially downstream from an outlet of the impeller and includes a forward portion fixed relative to the impeller and an aft portion distinct from the forward portion.
Compressor bleed apparatus for a turbine engine
A compressor bleed apparatus includes: a compressor comprising one or more rotors mounted for rotation about a central axis and enclosed in a compressor casing; a bleed slot passing through the compressor casing; an outer wall defining, in cooperation with the compressor casing, a plenum surrounding the compressor casing; at least one offtake pipe communicating with the plenum; and wherein at least one of the plenum and the bleed slot has a non-axisymmetric structure.
Airflow-doubling vane structure
An airflow-doubling vane structure includes an axle, an inner vane unit, and an outer vane unit. The inner vane unit includes a plurality of vanes provided around a center defined by the axle and can be rotated along with the axle. The vanes of the inner vane unit are centrifugal vanes. The outer vane unit includes a plurality of vanes provided around the center defined by the axle and around the inner vane unit and can be rotated along with the axle. The vanes of the outer vane unit are axial-flow vanes and extend a certain radial distance from the vanes of the inner vane unit.
GAS TURBINE ENGINE WITH COMPRESSOR BLEED SYSTEM FOR COMBUSTOR START ASSIST
A gas turbine engine includes a combustor having a combustor air inlet, an axial-centrifugal compressor, a shroud, a secondary flow duct, and a valve. The shroud surrounds at least a portion of the axial-centrifugal compressor and has a surge bleed plenum defined therein that is in fluid communication with, and receives compressed air from, the axial compressor outlet. The secondary airflow duct has a duct inlet that is in fluid communication with the surge bleed plenum, and a duct outlet that is in fluid communication with the combustor air inlet. The valve is mounted on the secondary airflow duct and is movable between a closed position, in which the secondary airflow duct does not provide fluid communication between the surge bleed plenum and the combustor air inlet, and an open position, in which the secondary airflow duct provides fluid communication between the surge bleed plenum and the combustor air inlet.
LIQUID COOLING HEAD
A liquid cooling head includes an upper casing, an impeller, a bottom casing and a skived fin cooling plate. The upper casing has an inlet and an outlet, the upper casing is fixed on the bottom casing, and the impeller is arranged between the upper casing and the skived fin cooling plate. In addition, the skived fin cooling plate is fixed on the bottom casing, and the impeller sucks the heat-dissipating liquid from the inlet and drives the heat-dissipating liquid passing through the skived fin cooling plate, upwardly passing through the impeller and then discharged from the outlet.
AIR HANDLING UNIT AND FAN THEREFOR
The present disclosure provides a fan including a hub and multiple fan blades coupled to the hub and located circumferentially along the hub. Each fan blade extends between a root and a tip edge thereof and includes a first portion inclined at a first predefined angle with respect to the hub. The first portion induces an axial flow of air. The fan blade also includes a second portion extending from the first portion and between a leading edge and a trailing edge of the fan blade. The second portion is embodied as an airfoil defining an angle of attack to induce a radial inward flow of air. A radius of curvature of a trailing edge segment of the second portion is less than a radius of curvature of a leading edge segment of the second portion.
WEARABLE DEVICE FOR DELIVERING AIR
A personal entertainment respiratory apparatus provides air to a user to provide a fully immersive entertainment experience. The personal entertainment system may comprise a flow generator for providing the flow of air. A personal spatial respiratory interface may be coupled to the flow generator. The personal spatial respiratory interface may comprise an outlet for the flow generator. The personal spatial respiratory interface may further be configured to direct the flow of air within an ambient breathing proximity of a user. The personal entertainment respiratory apparatus may further comprise a controller and a sensory particle dispenser. The controller and sensory particle dispenser may be configured to selectively activate release of a sensory particle from the dispenser into the directed flow of air in response to an entertainment triggering signal.
