Fluid pump assemblies and kits, and related methods
The present invention relates to fluid pump assemblies in general, and in exemplary embodiments to fluid pump assemblies that are magnetically supported in position, and to related kits and methods useful to circulate water in aquariums. The fluid pump assembly comprises an outer mount, an inner mount, and a pump. The outer mount includes at least one outer permanent magnet; the inner mount includes at least one inner permanent magnet; and the pump includes at least one soft magnetic material. The outer permanent magnet, the inner permanent magnet, and the soft magnetic material collectively form a magnetic circuit.
Liquid pressurizing apparatus and urea synthesis plant
A liquid pressurizing apparatus, comprises a tank provided on a device installation surface for storing liquid so that a fluid level is located above the device installation surface; and a vertical pump including a suction port connected to the tank, multi-stage impellers arranged in a vertical direction, and a discharge port for discharging the liquid passing through the multi-stage impellers. The multi-stage impellers include a first stage impeller positioned at the lowest part of the multi-stage impellers and being configured such that the liquid from the suction port flows into the first stage impeller. The first stage impeller is disposed below the device installation surface.
MODULAR
1. A pump station for pumping a Flow Fl in pipes of a gravity feed network having a pumping system located in said dry well chamber, said pumping station having comprising controls, motors, pumps and assembly branched piping P.sub.B operably connected to one or more pumps, and with an inlet piping P.sub.2 operably connecting Flow F.sub.l from a gravity feed piping network, and with an output piping P.sub.3 operably connected to the output of the branched piping P.sub.B and/or the one or more pumps. Additional an output piping P.sub.3 operably connected to the output of said branched piping P.sub.B and/or said one or more pumps, and with a return piping P.sub.5 operably connected to said inlet piping P.sub.2 and/or output piping P.sub.9 of a sump pump.
Thrust box and skid for a horizontally mounted submersible pump
A thrust box with improved cooling comprises a case having an interior, a first passageway and an opposing second passageway. A shaft passes through the case and the first and second passageway. A thrust runner is secured to the shaft and a pump ring is attached to the thrust runner. Advantageously, the pump ring facilitates oil rate circulation and cooling among other benefits.
Fuel compositions from light tight oils and high sulfur fuel oils
Methods are provided to prepare a low sulfur fuel from hydrocarbon sources, such as light tight oil and high sulfur fuel oil, often less desired by conventional refiners, who split crude into a wide range of differing products and may prefer presence of wide ranges (C3 or C5 to C20 or higher) of hydrocarbons. These fuels can be produced by separating feeds into untreated and treated streams, and then recombining them. Such fuels can also be formulated by combinations of light, middle and heavy range constituents in a selected manner as claimed. Not only low in sulfur, the fuels of this invention are also low in nitrogen and essentially metals free. Fuel use applications include on-board large marine transport vessels but also on-shore for large land based combustion gas turbines, boilers, fired heaters and transport vehicles and trains.
FOOT SPA WITH DISPOSABLE PUMP
The foot spa has a rotating drive hub and a pump. The hub has North and South pole domains encircling a rotation axis in alternating relation. The pump includes a housing and an impeller, the housing having a pair of sides and defining: a cavity having a center and a periphery; an intake that communicates with the cavity center; and one or more ports communicating with the periphery. The impeller is mounted in the cavity and: defines blades which are adapted, upon rotation of the impeller in the cavity, to draw water through the intake and eject water through the one or more ports; and includes a portion that is ferromagnetic and a portion that is not ferromagnetic, the portions: being adapted such that rotation of the drive hub causes rotation of the impeller and abutting one another, one being axially displaced from the other.
Method and apparatus for producing well with backup gas lift and an electrical submersible well pump
A well production method uses side gas lift valves above a packer and an ESP below the packer. In a gas lift mode, a controller turns the ESP motor off, and shifts a tubing valve below the packer to a gas lift position while flowing gas down the casing. While in the gas lift mode, a pressure gauge monitors motor lubricant pressure, which correlates with a flowing bottom hole pressure of the well fluid in the lower casing annulus. In an ESP mode, the controller stops the flow of gas from the gas source, shifts the tubing valve to an ESP position and turns on the motor, causing well fluid to flow through the pump intake. The pressure gauge continues to monitor the lubricant pressure during the ESP mode.
