An apparatus includes a rotating pole, a first set of photovoltaic modules; and a second set of photovoltaic modules. At least one of the first set of photovoltaic modules is perpendicular to at least one of the second set of photovoltaic modules.
Vertical wind turbine comprising rotor blade-supporting pitch motor, as well as kit for same, and method for operating same
A vertical wind turbine that includes a plurality of vertical vanes which can be rotated independently of one another about a respective vane rotational axis by a motor and which are mounted on a common circular path in a rotatable manner about a vertical rotor rotational axis. A method for operating a vertical wind turbine. Angular positions are specified for vertical wind turbine vanes which are mounted in a rotatable manner about a respective vertical rotor rotational axis and which can be rotated about a respective vane rotational axis by a motor. The vertical wind turbine is operated in a particularly efficient and material-preserving manner in that the angular positions of the vanes are specified by at least one respective pitch motor which at least partly supports the respective vane.
Venturi vortex and flow facilitating turbine
A wind harvesting assembly for a wind turbine, having: a Venturi tube having a hollow interior having a first air pressure; an open top end having a first diameter; an open bottom end having the first diameter; a tube length spanning between the open top end and the open bottom end; and a constricted section located above the bottom end, the constricted section adapted to increase a velocity of air passing through by having a second diameter smaller than the first diameter; a plurality of vertical wind turbine blades arranged around the Venturi tube, an outlet disbursement blade assembly disposed below the bottom open end of the Venturi tube and a port fan positioned coaxially with the Venturi tube.
DYNAMIC WIND TURBINE ROTATIONAL SPEED CONTROL
Methods, systems, and devices for dynamic wind turbine rotational speed control are described. The method may include attaching a vane shaft to a support arm of the wind turbine, the vane shaft partially inserted into a cylindrical aperture of an airfoil of the wind turbine, rotating an airfoil around a vertical axis of the wind turbine, and controlling, via a torsion spring of the wind turbine, when a rear stop of the speed control assembly exerts a force on the airfoil to reduce the rotational speed of the wind turbine, where the torsion spring is configured to facilitate the rear stop to exert the force on the airfoil when a rotational speed of the wind turbine around the vertical axis exceeds a set rotational speed, where a portion of the vane shaft is inserted into a helical portion of the torsion spring.
WIND TURBINE POWER GENERATION SYSTEM
In a vertical rotor apparatus that rotates in response to a moving fluid, a shaft defines an axis of rotor rotation. Rotor blades are longitudinally aligned in parallel with the shaft and each rotor blade defines an axis of blade rotation. A sensor generates a signal when any of the rotor blades are within rotor azimuthal angles of blade stall regions. A controller generates blade pitch information for the blade stall regions and an actuator, which is mechanically coupled to each of the rotor blades, alters blade pitch about the axis of blade rotation in accordance with the blade pitch information.
VERTICAL AXIS WIND TURBINE
The vertical wind turbine and system generally comprises a rotor assembly having a plurality of blades, a fixed central spindle having a central axis for supporting rotation of the rotor assembly, a blade adjustment mechanism assembly for adjusting the blade angle of attack throughout rotation of the rotor assembly, and a support framework for supporting the rotor assembly at an elevated position in order to gain access to a sustained source of wind. The wind turbine may be operably coupled with a power electric generator or other device which transfers mechanical energy into electrical energy as a combined system.

COMBINED WIND AND SOLAR POWER GENERATING SYSTEM
An integrated wind and solar solution is provided, including a solar energy collection assembly (100) and a vertical axis wind turbine (400), combined to provide an integrated power output. In preferred embodiments, the vertical axis wind turbine is positioned above the solar energy collection assembly. Concentrating solar mirror collectors (116) are used to direct sunlight to a heat engine (250), which converts the collected heat energy into rotary motion. Rotary motion from the heat engine and from the vertical axis wind turbine preferably are on the same rotating axis (600), to facilitate load sharing between these two sources. A dual axis azimuth-altitude solar panel alignment tracking system is used in order to boost the energy conversion capability of the solar energy collectors.
