WIND POWER GENERATING EQUIPMENT, OPERATION METHOD THEREOF, AND WIND FARM
Wind power generating equipment includes: a generator that is driven by a blade which rotates by receiving the wind; a power converter that converts an electric output of the generator such that the output is interconnected with an electric power system; a power converter controller that controls the power converter; and a wind turbine control board that transmits, to the power converter controller, an active power command value that is used as a command value of the electric output which is transmitted from the power converter. The power converter controller controls the output of the power converter in response to an active power command value, depending on a reduction amount of a system voltage when instantaneous reduction occurs in the system voltage interconnected with the wind power generating equipment. This permits stable operation of the wind power generating system when instantaneous voltage reduction occurs such as during a system abnormality.
Wind turbine power consumption control
A power management module and method for controlling power consumption of consumers in a wind turbine system. Each power management module in the wind turbine system is configured to determine a voltage level of a power supply bus of the wind turbine system and then control a level of power consumption of one or more consumers coupled to the power supply bus based at least in part on the determined voltage level of the power supply bus. Power consumption may thereby be managed throughout the wind turbine system, without requiring a dedicated centralised controller and communications infrastructure.

BOOSTING REACTIVE CURRENT INJECTION FROM WIND TURBINE GENERATORS
Operating a renewable energy generator forming part of a renewable energy power plant. During a fault experienced by a power network: determining an active current set point to enable a reactive current supply boost at the point of connection between the plant and the network, the active current set point being based on a voltage level associated with the generator and on operational characteristics of the generator, plant, power network and/or connecting network; calculating a time period for the reactive current boost, the time period being the maximum time that the active current set point can be maintained for; and controlling the generator during the calculated time period to alter active current output to the determined active current set point, thereby providing the reactive current supply boost at the point of connection.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING WIND FARM OPERATION DURING A WEAK GRID CONDITION
A method for controlling wind farm operation during a weak grid condition includes determining when a threshold number of the plurality of wind turbines have tripped based on the received one or more inputs. Furthermore, the method includes determining a sampled power output of the wind farm based on received sensor data after it is determined that the threshold number of the plurality of wind turbines have tripped. Additionally, the method includes controlling the operation of the one or more wind turbines of the plurality of wind turbines that have not tripped after it is determined that the threshold number of the plurality of wind turbines have tripped such that the power output of the one or more wind turbines of the plurality of wind turbines that have not tripped is less than or equal to the sampled power output.
