Thrust chamber device and method for operating a thrust chamber device
The invention relates to a thrust chamber device comprising a thrust chamber with a thrust space having a first portion, a second portion adjacent thereto, and a third portion adjacent to the second portion, the thrust space being delimited in all three portions by an outer nozzle wall having an outer thrust space surface, which outer thrust space surface tapers in the first and second portion toward the third portion, widens in the third portion away from the second portion, and has a narrowest point at the transition from the second portion to the third portion, the first portion being delimited by an inner nozzle wall with an inner thrust space surface, which tapers toward the second portion, an annular combustion chamber being formed between the inner thrust space surface and the outer thrust space surface and extending over the first portion.
Step seal for refrigerant compressors
In some aspects, the techniques described herein relate to a refrigerant compressor, including: a stator; a rotor configured to rotate with respect to the stator; and at least one step seal between the rotor and the stator, wherein the step seal includes a first tooth and a second tooth extending from the rotor toward the stator, wherein a downstream surface of the first tooth and an upstream surface of the second tooth are arranged at an angle relative to one another, wherein the angle is less than 90°.
Ceiling fan blade
A ceiling fan or similar air-moving device can include a motor for rotating one or more blades to drive a volume of air about a space. The blade can include a body having an outer surface with a flat top surface and a flat bottom surface, and a side edge. The top surface includes a chamfered portion extending between a flat portion, and the side edge.
FLOATING, NON-CONTACT SEAL WITH ROUNDED EDGE
Aspects of the disclosure are directed to a seal comprising: a support ring, at least one beam coupled to the support ring, and a shoe coupled to the at least one beam, the shoe having an axial shoe face that includes a rounded edge that is configured to contact a support structure face of a support structure when the seal is subjected to a load that is equal to or greater than a first threshold.
PRESSURIZED-AIR SUPPLY UNIT FOR AN AIR-JET COOLING DEVICE
The invention relates to a pressurized-air supply unit for an air-jet cooling device cooling an outer casing of a turbomachine turbine. This unit is notable in that it is monobloc, in that it comprises: —a body which has an interior wall provided with air-ejection perforations, an exterior wall and outlet ducts which are configured to be coupled to cooling lines of the cooling device,—an elbowed air-conveying pipe coupled by its outlet opening to said exterior wall of the body, and in that said unit comprises at least one air-distribution partition, arranged in the outlet opening and connecting the internal face of the portion of the air-conveying pipe that is situated facing the body to the internal face of the opposite portion of the air-conveying pipe.
A curved transition can extend between one of the flat top surface or the flat bottom surface, and the side edge. The curved transition can include an elliptical curvature.

Gas turbine engine airfoil fairing with rib having radial notch
An airfoil fairing includes an airfoil section that is formed of a fiber-reinforced composite wall. The airfoil section has first and second radial ends, pressure and suction sides, leading and trailing ends that join the pressure and suction sides, an internal cavity, and a rib that extends radially in the internal cavity. The rib has a radial rib end at the first radial end of the airfoil section and extends across the internal cavity from a first rib side at the pressure side to a second rib side at the suction side. The rib defines at the radial end first and second shoulders. The first and second shoulders define a radial notch there between.
