APPARATUS FOR OIL LUBRICATION OF A ROTATIONALLY FIXED CONNECTION BETWEEN TWO SHAFTS
An apparatus for oil lubrication of a rotationally fixed connection between two shafts. A first shaft engages with a hollow region of the second shaft. The shafts are operatively connected to each other in a form-fitting manner in the overlapping region. Oil is introduced into a first chamber in the hollow region, which chamber is connected to a second chamber in the hollow region. The second chamber is connectable to a third chamber is arranged in the overlapping region. The fluidic connection between the second chamber and the third chamber is separated above a defined oil volume in the second chamber and above a rotational speed threshold of the shafts via a sealing element. The sealing element is reversibly deformable by the oil volume in the second chamber and the centrifugal force acting thereon and, in the deformed state, seals the connection between the second and third chambers.

A gas turbine engine comprising: a duct extending about an axis, the duct including an outer-duct wall having an interior-duct surface circumscribing an interior of the duct and an exterior-duct surface radially outward of the interior-duct surface relative to the axis, the outer-duct wall defining an offtake opening extending from the interior-duct surface to the exterior-duct surface, the offtake opening in fluid communication between an offtake location inside the duct and outside the duct, and a bleed air offtake assembly including: an air line in fluid communication with inside the duct via the offtake opening, the air line having a first-line end defining a line inlet proximate to the outer-duct wall and a second-line end spaced from the first-line end; a valve located outside the duct and fluidly connected to the air line via the second-line end, and a conduit having a conduit inlet in fluid communication with inside the air line at a resonance location between the first-line end and the second-line end upstream of the valve, and a conduit outlet in fluid communication with inside the duct at a relief location spaced from the offtake location.
TURBOMACHINE COMPONENT RETENTION
Turbomachine components and compressors are provided. The turbomachine component includes a platform and a mounting portion that extends from the platform. The mounting portion includes a dovetail received by a slot defined in the turbomachine. The slot includes a floor and a ceiling. The dovetail includes an inner surface and an outer surface. A hole is defined in the dovetail from an inlet at the inner surface to an end wall. The hole has a cylindrical portion and a tapered portion. A mechanical spring is disposed within the hole and in contact with the floor and the end wall such that the outer surface of the dovetail is forced into contact with the ceiling of the slot.

In order to alleviate a mismatch problem of thermal deformation, in all directions, of a connecting and installing structure between a CMC turbine outer annular component and a metal intermediate casing, a connector and an anti thermal mismatch connecting device are provided. The subtractive hollow section is composed of a central shaft, a plurality of supporting rib plates extending outwards from a peripheral surface of the central shaft and inclined radially relative to the central shaft, and a plurality of outer annular plates arranged around the central shaft, with a circumferential gap between adjacent outer annular plates. The supporting rib plate is connected with the central shaft and the outer annular plate, and the central shaft is connected with the cylindrical section. A combustor component according to at least one embodiment of the present invention includes a cylindrical body which internally includes a combustion chamber, and includes a weld part where a plurality of through holes opening to the combustion chamber are formed, and a housing which is disposed on an outer circumferential side of the cylindrical body to cover a part of the weld part, and defines an acoustic damping space communicating with the combustion chamber via at least one of the through holes. The plurality of through holes in the weld part has a formation density which is higher in a first region of the weld part covered with the housing than in a second region of the weld part positioned outside the housing.

A turbine blade including an airfoil portion having a leading edge, a trailing edge, and a pressure surface and a suction surface extending between the leading edge and the trailing edge. The airfoil portion internally forming a cooling passage, which includes first and second cooling passages, and a plurality of outflow passages each having one end which opens to a merging portion formed by connecting an end portion of the first cooling passage on a side of the trailing edge and an end portion of the second cooling passage on the side of the trailing edge, and another end which opens to the trailing edge. The first cooling passage and the second cooling passage are divided by a partition member disposed in the airfoil portion. The cooling passage includes pressure side pin fins in the first cooling passage, and suction side pin fins in the second cooling passage.
Rotatable forged disc for a bladed rotor wheel and a method for manufacturing thereof
The present invention provides a bladed rotor wheel for a gas turbine engine comprising at least a rotatable forged disc, the rotatable forged disc comprising a front surface and a back surface, at least one rim surface, and a plurality of projections located on at least a portion of at least one of the front or back surface and/or on the rim surface; wherein the projections are 3D printed features protruding outwards from the front, back and/or rim surface; the projections are arranged forming a pattern so that a heat transfer capability is created at the front, back and/or rim surface; and the ratio of the distance between projections to the forged disc external radius is lower than 0.15. Furthermore, the present invention also provides a method for manufacturing a rotatable forged disc for a bladed rotor wheel.

PREFORM CROSSOVERS FOR COMPOSITE AIRFOILS
A method of forming a ceramic matrix composite component having an internal cooling circuit includes wrapping at least a first sheet around a first mandrel, wrapping at least a second sheet around a second mandrel, creating a first plurality of holes in the first sheet corresponding to a plurality of openings in the first mandrel, creating a second plurality of holes in the second sheet corresponding to a plurality of openings in the second mandrel, aligning the first mandrel and the second mandrel such that the first plurality of holes face and are aligned with the second plurality of holes, wrapping at least a third sheet around both the first mandrel and second mandrel to form a preform, the preform comprising each of the first sheet, the second sheet, and the third sheet, and densifying the preform. The first sheet, second sheet, and third sheet are formed from a ceramic fiber material.
