CENTRIFUGAL WELL PUMP WITH THREADEDLY COUPLED DIFFUSERS
A well pump includes a plurality of diffusers, wherein each diffuser comprises a first threaded coupling on one longitudinal end and a second threaded coupling on an opposed longitudinal end. An impeller is disposed in each diffuser. The plurality of diffusers are coupled end to end to form a pump housing, in which the first threaded coupling on one diffuser is threadedly engaged to the second threaded coupling on adjacent diffuser.
Fan blade spacer
The present disclosure relates generally to a fan blade spacer including a conduit disposed within a fan blade spacer composed of an elastically deformable material.
SEGREGATED IMPELLER SHROUD FOR CLEARANCE CONTROL IN A CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSOR
A system for controlling the clearance distance between an impeller blade tip of a centrifugal compressor and a radially inner surface of a segregated impeller shroud in a turbine engine. The system comprises a driving mechanism coupled to a portion of a segregated impeller shroud. The driving mechanism comprises a driving arm and threaded axial member configured to translate motion of an actuator ring into axially forward and aft motion of the portion of the segregated impeller shroud.
Turbocharger with dual-use mounting holes
A housing for a turbocharger includes a first outer surface, a second outer surface opposite the first outer surface, and a mounting hole extending between the first outer surface and the second outer surface. The mounting hole includes a first end opposite a second end and a counterbore formed at the first end. The counterbore includes threads that are configured to engage with threads on a shank of a lifting device. The mounting hole also includes a throughbore extending from the counterbore to the second end and configured to receive a fastener for mounting the turbocharger housing. The counterbore forms a first opening through the first outer surface of the turbocharger housing, and the throughbore forms a second opening through the second outer surface of the turbocharger housing. The mounting hole is configured to receive only one fastener or shank at a time.
Encapsulated Cooling for Turbine Shrouds
A shroud for a gas turbine is provided. The shroud can include an outer box having a first wall and a second wall circumferentially spaced apart from the first wall. An inner box is positioned within the outer box. The inner box defines one or more passageways extending therethrough and a first chamber. The inner box and the outer box collectively define a second chamber. The one or more passageways defined by the inner box fluidly couple the first chamber and the second chamber. The first wall of the outer box defines a first boss and first notch, and the second wall of the outer box defines a second boss and notch. A gas turbine is also provided that can include a plurality of such turbine shrouds.
Method of making a pinion for being assembled on a turbine axis of an internal combustion engine
A pinion to be fitted on a turbine axis of an internal combustion engine, wherein said pinion is made in a single piece, equipped with an axial thread to screw it on said axis of the turbine, wherein an axial end of the pinion integrates/defines a disc spring.
Locking spacer assembly, corresponding blade assembly, method for installing a locking spacer
A locking spacer assembly for filling a final spacer slot in a disk groove between platforms of adjacent blades of a blade assembly, a blade assembly and a method for installing a locking spacer assembly into a final spacer slot in a disk groove between platforms of adjacent blades of a blade assembly are presented. The locking spacer assembly includes a first side piece, a second side piece, a bolt and a mid piece. The mid piece includes a hollow cylindrical body to receive the bolt and a top platform to flush with top surfaces of the first and second side pieces and a middle platform disposed at bottom of the hollow cylindrical body. At least two pins are radially inserted through apertures of the first and second side pieces respectively extending toward the middle platform of the mid piece to prevent radial movement of the mid piece.
Fluid transfer assembly for rotational equipment
An inner structure is within an outer structure. A shield mount of a shield is attached to the outer structure. A sleeve of the shield extends from the shield mount through an aperture in the outer structure to a distal end of the shield. The sleeve is mated with the port at the distal end through a slip joint interface where a cylindrical sleeve surface of the sleeve contacts a cylindrical port surface of a port of the inner structure. The fluid transfer tube extends from an inner tube end through a bore of the shield and at least into the port to an outer tube end. An inner coupling is disposed at the inner tube end and mated with the inner structure through a cone seal interface. An outer coupling is disposed at the outer tube end and attached to the outer structure.
Locking spacer assembly, corresponding blade assembly, method for installing a locking spacer
A locking spacer assembly for filling a final spacer slot in a disk groove between platforms of adjacent blades of a blade assembly in an industrial gas turbine engine is presented. The locking spacer assembly includes a first side piece, a second side piece, a mid piece and a bolt. The bolt is disposed into the mid piece to position the mid piece in a radial position in an assembled state. The mid piece contacts the first side piece and the second side piece in the assembled state to prevent axial movements of the first and second side pieces in the disk groove. The bolt prevents a radial movement of the mid piece.
MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY FOR THE TRANSMISSION OF AXIAL FORCES BETWEEN AT LEAST TWO ROTOR PARTS OF A TURBOMACHINE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A VARIABLE THREADING FOR SUCH AN ASSEMBLY
The invention proposes a mechanical assembly for the transmission of axial forces between two secured parts, at least one of these parts having a portion with outer threading, said assembly further including a nut with inner threading able to cooperate with said outer threading to axially block by tightening the other part relative to the first part and to allow the transmission of axial forces between these two parts. The pitch of the outer threading and/or of the nut vary/varies along the axial dimension of the threading, the space gradually decreasing from the first thread to the rear thread in the expected direction for the axial force.
The variable threading can be produced by chemical etching.
