Nacelle with thrust reverser
11230994 · 2022-01-25 · ·

A nacelle for an aircraft having a thrust reverser including a translating cowl and a blocking panel. The blocking panel is connected by a pivot connection and is connected to the translating cowl by a sliding connection including an engagement member slidingly engaged in a track, the track having a first portion parallel to the longitudinal axis of the outer casing and a second portion non-parallel to the longitudinal axis. Motion of the translating cowl along the longitudinal axis slides the engagement member within the track, and is performed without moving the blocking panel when the engagement member is within the first portion of the track. The motion of the translating cowl causes the blocking panel to pivot about the pivot connection when the engagement member is within the second portion of the track.

A nacelle assembly includes a fixed inlet segment and a translating inlet segment. The translating inlet segment includes a slider beam laterally between a pair of tracks of the fixed inlet segment. The slider beam is mated with and slidable longitudinally along the pair of tracks. The translating inlet segment is configured to translate longitudinally between a retracted position and an extended position. An aft end of the translating inlet segment is abutted against a forward end of the fixed inlet segment when the translating inlet segment is in the retracted position. An airflow inlet into an inlet passage of the nacelle assembly is opened longitudinally between the aft end of the translating inlet segment and the forward end of the fixed inlet segment when the translating inlet segment is in the extended position.

Isolation seals for gas turbine engines

Isolation seals for gas turbine engines are described. The isolation seals include a first interface member configured to be fixedly attached to a first case structure, the first interface member being a full-hoop structure, a housing configured to be mounted to a second case structure, a connector pin arranged within the housing and moveable relative to the housing, and a second interface member located on an end of the connector pin, the second interface member being a full-hoop structure. The first interface member and the second interface member are engageable to form a seal therebetween.

A device for adjusting the pitch of at least one annular row of stator vanes for a turbine engine module. The device includes a first control ring mounted to rotate freely about an axis of the turbine engine. The device also includes connecting rods for connecting the first control ring to the vanes and a second control ring mounted to rotate freely about the axis. Each vane of the at least one row is simultaneously connected to the first and second control rings by a set of at least two connecting rods. The device is suitable for use as part of a module and is suitable for use in a turbine engine.

Fastening of an exhaust cone in a turbomachine nozzle

An assembly for a turbomachine nozzle having a longitudinal axis (X) includes an exhaust cone with an annular outer wall for guiding a primary air flow and an annular chamber placed radially inside said annular outer wall. The annular chamber includes an annular inner wall placed radially inside the annular outer wall of the exhaust cone. An exhaust case is placed upstream of the ejection cone. A connecting member is interposed longitudinally between the exhaust case and the exhaust cone and fastened to the exhaust case and to the annular inner wall. The assembly further includes elastic means configured to deform radially and prestressed radially between the annular outer wall and the connecting member.

Variable stator vane mechanism

To provide a variable stator vane mechanism, for an axial flow compressor, which is excellent in durability, has a simple structure, and is realized at low cost. The variable stator vane mechanism for adjusting a mounting angle of a stator vane of an axial flow compressor includes: an arm coupled to the stator vane; a rotation ring coupled to one end portion of the arm and located at an outer surface of a casing of the axial flow compressor; a driving machine configured to rotate the rotation ring to cause the stator vane to pivot via the arm; and a friction pad mounted on the casing. The rotation ring is in frictional contact with the friction pad.
