COMPACT VARIABLE GEOMETRY DIFFUSER MECHANISM
A diffuser system for a centrifugal compressor is provided. The diffuser system includes a nozzle base plate that defines a diffuser gap, support blocks, and a drive ring rotatable relative to the support blocks. The drive ring includes cam tracks and bearing assemblies positioned proximate an outer circumference of the drive ring. The diffuser system further includes drive pins extending through the support blocks and the nozzle base plate. The first end of each drive pin includes a cam follower mounted into a cam track on the drive ring. The second end of each drive pin is coupled to a diffuser ring. Rotation of the drive ring causes axial movement of the drive pins by movement of the cam followers in the cam tracks. This results in movement of the diffuser ring to control fluid flow through the diffuser gap.
Electric blower, electric vacuum cleaner, and hand drier
An electric blower includes a motor unit, a shaft, a centrifugal impeller, a fan cover, a motor unit case, and a bracket located away from centrifugal impeller and toward motor unit in a direction in which a central axis of the shaft extends. The bracket includes a first portion located outward of the vent in a radial direction, and a second portion located outward of the first portion and outward of an outer circumference of the motor unit case in the radial direction. A first airflow passage and a second airflow passage are formed in the bracket, the first and second airflow passages communicate with an airflow passage formed by the centrifugal impeller and the fan cover.
A DIFFUSER WITH NON-CONSTANT DIFFUSER VANES PITCH AND CENTRIFUGAL TURBOMACHINE INCLUDING SAID DIFFUSER
A novel diffuser for a centrifugal turbomachine to reduce or prevent stall. The diffuser includes diffuser vanes arranged around a diffuser axis. Each diffuser vane includes: a leading edge, a trailing edge, a suction side facing radially inwardly, and a pressure side facing radially outwardly. A respective flow passage is defined between the suction side of a first diffuser vane and the pressure side of a second diffuser vane of each pair of adjacently arranged diffuser vanes. The diffuser vanes are arranged with a non-constant pitch around the diffuser axis. The pitch between each pair of adjacently arranged first diffuser vane and second diffuser vane defining a respective flow passage there between is correlated to a chord of one of said first diffuser vane and second diffuser vane.
Pressure Wall for a Fluid Pump and a Pump Including the Pressure Wall
The present invention relates to a pressure wall for a centrifugal pump for fluid having substantially the shape of a disc, the disc-shaped pressure wall having a central axis, the pressure wall comprising: a top surface; and a bottom surface opposing the top surface; wherein the top surface includes an inner surface section and an outer surface section, wherein the inner surface section extends radially from the central axis and is recessed to form a central recess; and wherein the outer surface section includes an inner circumferential edge portion and an outer circumferential edge portion, wherein the inner circumferential edge portion is located closer to the central axis than the outer circumferential edge portion, and wherein the outer circumferential edge portion is located higher than the inner circumferential edge portion with respect to a plane perpendicular to the central axis and passing through the inner circumferential edge portion.
Non-return valve
A non-return valve (19) for a water supply system (1) or a pump (4) is integrated in a flow channel (14) of the water supply system (1). The non-return valve (19) includes a sealing body (21) which is mounted within the channel (14), blocks the channel (14) in a first position forming the closure position and releases the channel (14) in a second position forming the opened position. The sealing body (21) is movably arranged on a holder (31) which includes a closure body (15), with which the holder (31) is releasably fastened in a housing opening.
Fan shroud for an electric motor assembly
An electric motor assembly includes an electric motor, a fan assembly coupled to the electric motor and configured to rotate therewith about an axis. The bower assembly also includes a shroud coupled to the electric motor and extending about the fan assembly. The shroud includes a central hub coupled to the electric motor, an inlet ring, and a plurality of arms extending between the central hub and the inlet ring. Each arm of the plurality of arms includes a curved radial portion extending from the central hub and a planar axial portion extending from the radial portion to the inlet ring.
Humidification and air cleaning apparatus
A humidification and air cleaning apparatus is provided that may include a water tank having a discharge port which is open toward an upper side, and a discharge grill disposed at the water tank and covering the discharge port. The discharge grill may have a plurality of vanes disposed at the discharge port and spaced apart from each other, and when viewed from a top, overlap each other to cover the discharge port. An edge of a vane may overlap an edge of an adjacent vane, thereby minimizing scattering of droplets to an indoor space while minimizing resistance of discharged air.
Adaptive volutes for centrifugal pumps
Centrifugal pump systems and related methods are disclosed herein that can shift a best efficiency point of a pump based on one or more operating conditions to operate more efficiently across and/or adjust to a broader range of conditions. Pumps provided for herein can include an adaptive volute in which a geometry of the volute can be adjusted to shift an operating efficiency of the pump. In some embodiments, a height or radial dimension of the adaptive volute can be adjusted based on one or more operating condition. A geometry of the adaptive volute can be adjusted during operation of the pump and/or while an impeller is disposed within the volute. In some embodiments, a first and second collar can be disposed within the adaptive volute. Rotation of the first component can move the second component axially, which can expand or contract an axial dimension of the adaptive volute.
PUMP ASSEMBLY
A pump assembly includes pump casing (2), an impeller (14) rotatably arranged in the pump casing, a two rotation directions (A, B) electrical drive motor connected to drive the impeller and a valve arrangement (28) arranged in the pump casing to switch a flow path downstream of the impeller between two exits (24, 26) of the pump casing, depending on a rotation direction of the impeller. The valve arrangement includes a first movable valve element (34) at a first exit (24) and a second movable valve element (36) at a second exit (26). The first valve element partly closes the first exit in a closed position and is movable into an opened position by flow in the first rotation direction and the second valve element partly closes the second exit in a closed position and is movable into an opened position by flow in the second rotation direction (B).
