A method is provided for detecting inadmissible operating states of a work hydraulics of an agricultural tractor. The method includes providing at least one electrically actuated control valve, a branch allocated to the at least one control valve, and an operating unit for the manual actuation of the work hydraulics of a front linkage. The method also includes connecting the at least one electrically actuated control valve to a hydraulic consumer via a hydraulic coupling, supplying hydraulic fluid to a hydraulic lifting device of the front linkage, detecting a state variable indicative of a connection state of the hydraulic coupling by a sensor unit and communicated to a control unit, and deactivating the operating unit if the control unit identifies by way of the evaluation of the state variable that a hydraulic consumer is connected to the hydraulic coupling.

The control stem can move axially into an intermediate position where the throttles remain closed, that is, have a tiny closing gap, but valve body and seal are lifted from a secondary valve seat. The control stem can be moved further into an opening position where the throttles are open, each having an opening gap much larger than the closing gap, and the valve body and seal are lifted from the valve seat.

Work vehicle magnetorheological fluid joystick systems operable in modified joystick stiffness modes

Embodiments of a work vehicle magnetorheological fluid (MRF) joystick system include a joystick device having a base housing, a joystick movably mounted to the base housing, and a joystick position sensor configured to monitor joystick movement. An MRF joystick resistance mechanism is controllable to vary a joystick stiffness resisting movement of the joystick relative to the base housing, while a controller architecture is coupled to the joystick position sensor and to the MRF joystick resistance mechanism. The controller architecture is configured to: (i) selectively place the work vehicle MRF joystick system in a modified joystick stiffness mode during operation of the work vehicle; and (ii) when the work vehicle MRF joystick system is placed in the modified joystick stiffness mode, command the MRF joystick resistance mechanism to vary the joystick stiffness based, at least in part, on the movement of the joystick relative to the base housing.
