HYDRAULIC DEVICE WITH POSITION SENSOR
A hydraulic device with the position sensor feedback-controlled by a servo amplifier on the basis of a deviation between a command value of a command signal and a position sensing value from a position sensor includes: a computation processing section that outputs the position sensing value as a sensing signal; a communication device that transmits the sensing signal to the servo amplifier, and receives a signal from the servo amplifier; and a storage section storing characteristics information of the hydraulic device to be read via the communication device. The characteristics information at least includes: calibration information which is measured and acquired in advance in a test stand in a manufacturing process of the hydraulic device, and includes a position sensing value from the position sensor and a characteristics value of the hydraulic device, associated with each other; and flow rate characteristics information including a flow rate of the hydraulic device.
PIEZOELECTRIC RING BENDER SERVO VALVE ASSEMBLY FOR AIRCRAFT FLIGHT CONTROL ACTUATION AND FUEL CONTROL SYSTEMS
A piezoelectric ring bender servo valve assembly reduces mechanical wear by removing mechanical components used in prior art servo valves. The assembly does not use torque motor, flapper, and feedback spring. In this manner, no moving parts are required, which reduces maintenance and costs. A pair of piezoelectric ring benders mount adjacently to a pair of nozzles. The piezoelectric ring benders independently regulate the flow of fluid through the nozzles by moving between an open position to enable flowage, and a closed position to restrict flowage. A linear position sensing device measures and provides feedback about the spool position to a valve controller. The valve controller allows the spool valve to move until valve position achieves command position and the force on the spool valve is in equilibrium with pressure difference across spool valve. An H-bridge operable to switch the polarity of a differential pressure applied across to a load.
FLUID METERING VALVE
A servovalve system comprising a pilot stage valve in communication with an hydraulic stage valve, the hydraulic stage valve comprising a valve member movably mounted in a valve chamber to selectively meter fluid flow in a flow path from an upstream inlet port to a downstream outlet port and at least two variable-sized orifices disposed in the flow path between the inlet and outlet ports, an upstream pressure sensor, a downstream pressure sensor, a fluid temperature sensor, a position sensor sensing a linear position of the valve member, a controller that receives input from the upstream pressure sensor, the downstream pressure sensor, the fluid temperature sensor and the position sensor; and the controller configured to provide a control signal to the pilot stage valve as a function of the input from the upstream pressure sensor, the downstream pressure sensor, the fluid temperature sensor and the position sensor.
Valve with actuator diagnostics
A system for detection of degradation of a valve mechanism by measuring, for example, the time between powering an actuator and opening of the valve or the time between un-powering the actuator and closing of the valve. Time measurements may be compared with a predetermined threshold or previous measurements. An indication of a gradual degradation of the valve may be detected by an evaluation of a trend of measurements. Thus, a user may be notified of an impending failure before an actual failure of the valve. Diagnostic analysis may be of one or more items selected from a group consisting of combinations of time delays and distances of valve movement upon application and removal of power to the actuator, and one or more performance issues may be correlated for each of many combinations.
HYDRAULIC VALVE MODULE FOR SAFE DEACTIVATION IN THE CASE OF FAILURE OF AN EXTERNAL CURRENT SUPPLY, AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A HYDRAULIC VALVE
Techniques involve a hydraulic valve module having at least one hydraulic valve with a valve slide which can be adjusted by way of an electric actuator in order to supply hydraulic lines with hydraulic liquid by way of the hydraulic valve. The hydraulic valve module has a controller and an electric energy store. The controller and the electric energy store are set up to move the valve slide out of every possible valve slide position into a deactivation position by way of the electric actuator and energy which is stored in the electric energy store. This allows the safe operation of hydraulic valves without a restoring spring, wherein valves of this type and the actuators thereof can be of smaller and less expensive construction than in the case of conventional valves with a restoring spring.
Valve Assembly with Preloaded Control Oil Return
A valve assembly includes a linearly moving main slider, a pilot valve, a control oil inlet, and a control oil return. The pilot valve is designed as a 4/3 proportional directional valve, via which a first end face and an opposite second end face of the main slider can be fluidly connected selectively to the control oil inlet or the control oil return so that the main slider (20) is hydraulically movable by adjusting the pilot valve. The pilot valve is electrically adjustable depending on a target current. A position sensor is provided, with which an actual position of the main slider can be measured. A positioner is provided, with which the actual position can be regulated by adjusting the target current to a predefinable target position. The pilot valve is connected to the control oil return via a check valve. The check valve only permits fluid flow from the pilot valve toward the control oil return. The check valve is preloaded to a closed position by means of a first spring so that it opens at a predetermined opening pressure. The leakages at the pilot valve from the control oil inlet toward the check valve are designed to be so large that if the pressure at the control oil inlet exceeds the opening pressure by at least 2 bar, the opening pressure of the check valve is present immediately upstream of the check valve.
SWITCHING UNIT AND PNEUMATIC SYSTEM
A switching unit may be provided for connecting a first pneumatic unit and a second pneumatic unit of a pneumatic system together. The switching unit comprises a main body having: a channel structure which extends through the main body; a first and a second inlet for introducing a pressure into the channel structure; a first and a second outlet for discharging at least some of the pressure from the channel structure; and a first and a second valve; wherein the first inlet can be brought into a pressure-exchange connection to the first outlet via a first channel by setting a first switch position of the first valve or to the second outlet via a second channel by setting a second switch position of the first valve, and wherein the second inlet can be brought into a pressure-exchange connection to the first outlet via a third channel by setting a first switch position of the second valve or to the second outlet via a fourth channel by setting a second switch position of the second valve.
