A composed element, such as a piece of furniture, wherein the composed element comprises at least a rear wall, as well as a number of constructional parts forming a whole in which the rear wall has to be provided. The rear wall forms the rear side of the composed element and includes one or more rear wall parts. The composed element comprises seats for installing at least one of the rear wall parts, which are configured such that the rear wall part can be slid into the seats starting from the rear side of the composed element from a position differing from the final plane in which the rear wall part will be situated in the final condition.

A fastener system for securing a panel to a frame comprises one or more rotating fasteners installed in the perimeter edge of the panel. In operation, one or more cam surfaces of the fastener engage receiving surfaces of a receiver on the frame such that, upon rotation of each fastener, the panel is drawn toward the frame. In some embodiments, the panel is moved in a first direction parallel to the panel and a second direction perpendicular to the panel or in a composite diagonal direction inclined relative to the panel. The fastener system may facilitate compression of seals disposed along the perimeter edge of the panel and between a side of the panel and rabbet ledge of the frame and may further facilitate removal and maintenance of the panel.

A joining device with minimum visibility for parts of furniture and furnishing items, in particular connecting a first panel to a second panel, which must be moved towards each other in an approach direction to bring the edge of one panel buffered in a tightening position against a surface of the other panel, includes a blocking group and a connection group assembled on the panels. A joining device for parts of furniture and furnishing accessories, including a casing or container body suitable for being inserted in a seat formed in one of the components of the item of furniture to be joined and provided with an expansion bushing externally projecting with respect to an open end of the casing or container body and suitable for engaging with a further seat of a further component of the item of furniture to be joined to the component wherein the casing or container body is inserted, the joining device which includes a cam mechanism for a linear and reciprocated motion of an actuation unit co-operating in an expansion deformation movement of the expansion bushing and in a backward and traction movement of the same expansion bushing, with the cam mechanism and the actuation unit housed in the casing or container body and actuated by a tool.

Disclosed is a device for supporting and fixing shelves of furniture items, such as bookcases, shelf units and the like. The device includes a casing of substantially cylindrical shape, inside whereof is mounted a pin that is stressed by a compression spring, the device being inserted in the edge of a shelf, with a tip of the pin normally protruding from the edge of the shelf and apt to re-enter the casing when the shelf is brought into interference with a wall of the furniture item, wherein a cam element is provided for the actuation of the pin between a position of maximum extraction and a position of minimum extraction of the tip from the casing, the pin being free to spring to re-enter the casing when the cam element is in the positions of maximum and minimum extraction of the tip.
