A package includes a string of capsules that includes at least three capsules which are disposed next to each other in a threadlike manner and an envelope where the string of capsules is encased in the envelope. At least a first one of the at least three capsules is an A-type capsule which encapsulates a portion of an A-component of a hardenable multi-component mass and at least a second one of the at least three capsules is a B-type capsule which encapsulates a portion of a B-component of the hardenable multi-component mass.

A method, process and machine to anchor objects to a surface using an encapsulated compound such as adhesive, expanding glue, hardening agent or other reactive and/or bonding substance intended for single use in a single anchor installation.

An encapsulated adhesive for easy handling and a method of making the encapsulated adhesive are presented. The encapsulated adhesive includes an adhesive material enclosed by a non-adhesive encapsulant that substantially surrounds the adhesive material. The encapsulant is strong enough to withstand handling and storage, but breaks in response to pressure, exposing the adhesive material. A method of bonding two pieces by forming a first cavity in a first piece, inserting the encapsulated adhesive into the first cavity, and inserting a member into the first cavity to breach the encapsulant is also presented.

The invention is directed to an insert system comprising an insert with a base and an outer skirt extending from the base, thereby forming a chamber. The outer skirt is provided with a first inner skirt surface and a first outer skirt surface. The insert system further comprises a panel with a core structure and a first cover sheet that at least partially covers the core structure. The first cover sheet defines a first outer panel surface and has an opening. At least one piston is arranged in the opening and beneath the first outer panel surface. According to the invention the piston during mounting of the insert sweeps into the chamber to discharge an adhesive agent from the chamber into the core structure via at least one pathway.

A method of using an anchor with an encapsulated substance can comprise the steps of encapsulating a substance within an anchor and releasing the encapsulated substance through the insertion of a fastener into the anchor.

A method for installing an anchor for the fastening of an attachment part to a base part includes arranging an anchor bolt of the anchor in a hole which is provided in the base part and in a through hole provided in the attachment part. The invention relates to an anchoring system for anchoring a securing means such as a bolt in a bore of a substrate, comprising a plurality of rupturable containers each for holding a respective component of a multi-component adhesive, the containers being adjacent and each having a plurality of longitudinally spaced frangible means having a configuration including a transverse element and an elongate element, so that on application of at least a rotational force, the containers twist and the frangible means rupture and form opposed container segments whereby to enhance mixing of the components of the adhesive.

A method of anchoring a first object in a second object. The second object defines an opening. The first object has an insert portion that defines an insertion axis and has an outer shape that may form an undercut with respect to axial directions. The method includes inserting the insert portion in the opening, with a hardenable composition (prepolymer; mortar) between a wall of the opening and the insert portion, and causing mechanical vibration energy to impinge to cause the hardenable composition to undergo a chemical hardening process to yield a hardened composition, so that a first connection between the first object and the hardened composition and a second connection between the hardened composition and the second object results, whereby the first object is anchored in the second object. The first connection and/or the second connection may include an adhesive connection and/or a positive-fit connection.
