Nail Plate Installation System
A nail plate driving system for safely and efficiently installing nail plates at various heights. A first handle having an engaging head removably receives a second handle having a magnet. The magnet of the second handle is configured to magnetically secure a metal nail plate to allow a user to position the nail plate in a desired location on a wood member to be striked by the engaging head of the first handle. After the nail plate is secured to the wood member the magnet is removed from the nail plate and the process is repeated with the next nail plate. When not in use, the second handle may be secured within the first handle.
Anchor for a concrete floor
An anchor for connecting a concrete layer of a floor to a cellulosic layer of the floor, the cellulosic layer comprising a plurality of cellulosic members joined together in a side-by-side arrangement, the anchor including a first portion to extend between two adjacent cellulosic members of the cellulosic layer into the concrete layer of the floor. The first portion includes attachment structure to attach the first portion to one of the two adjacent cellulosic members of the cellulosic layer to attach the anchor to the cellulosic layer. An upper edge margin of the first portion is disposed within the concrete layer when the first portion is attached to the cellulosic layer. A second portion extends from the upper edge margin in a first direction that is transverse to the first portion. The second portion is spaced apart from the cellulosic layer and embedded within the concrete layer of the floor to attach the anchor to the concrete layer.
Remodel Nail Plate
A remodel nail plate and installation system for a remodel nail plate adapted to protect wires, other utility support cables, and/or plumbing pipes from damage. The remodel nail plate is for insertion between a wall stud and an outer wall that is already attached to the stud, as may be the case when remodeling a home. The nail plate includes a contact edge which may be contacted with a hammer, or interstitially with an installation tool. The remodel plate is adapted to be inserted by hammering, or otherwise inserting, a plate surface between the exterior wall and the stud alongside a retrofitted cable insertion, such as a power cable.
Sanitary bag clamp for bins
A clamp mountable on a corner of a bin to secure a bag to the bin includes a top portion and a bottom portion moveable in a sliding relationship relative to the top portion. The top portion has a first and second inner clamp members arranged orthogonally relative to one another. The first and second inner clamp members extend downward from a bottom surface of the top portion and are configured to be located on adjacent inner walls of the bin. The bottom portion has a first and second outer clamp members arranged orthogonally relative to one another. The first and second outer clamp members extend downward from a bottom surface of the bottom portion. The first and second inner clamp members are aligned with the first and second outer clamp members, respectively, to pinch a wall of the bin.
System and method for additive manufacturing of a three-dimensional object
A system for additive manufacturing of a three-dimensional object, comprising: a controller for identifying a set of planar cross-sectional shapes of the three-dimensional object, the set extending in a sequence from a first end of the three-dimensional object to a second end of the three-dimensional object; a three-dimensional scanner, associated with the controller, configured to scan a prototype of the three-dimensional object to generate a computer-aided design model; at least one cutting station for cutting at least one barbed metal sheet into a plurality of individual planar barbed metal pieces corresponding to the cross-sectional shapes; and for cutting at least one substrate sheet into a plurality of individual planar substrate pieces corresponding to the cross-sectional shapes, wherein the at least one substrate is penetrable by the barbs; and a binding station for receiving and pressing the individual barbed metal pieces and the individual substrate pieces together.
Nail plater apparatus and related methods
A nail plater apparatus includes at least one nail plate magazine configured to hold a plurality of nail plates, and at least one nail plate extractor assembly associated with the at least one nail plate magazine and configured to position at least one nail plate therefrom to at least one nail plate pressing area. A board feeder is configured to position a board to a board receiving area. At least one nail plate presser assembly is adjacent the board receiving area and aligned with the at least one nail plate pressing area and configured to press the at least one nail plate into the board.
Integral truss plate connector
A connection is formed between a held member and a holding member with the use of a connector and one or more fasteners. In one aspect, the connector has a main body that has integral nail prong fasteners. In one aspect, the main body of the connector is attached to the held and holding members by means of double-shear fastening. In one aspect, the main body is formed with a bendable end flange to attach the connector to the holding member. In one aspect, the main body is formed with a nail guide for directing the fastener at an angle to the main body.
COVERED OPENING FASTENER
Implementations of a covered opening fastener are provided. In some implementations, the covered opening fastener comprises a shelf and a shaft or one or more spikes.
In some implementations, a method for using the covered opening fastener comprises attaching the covered opening fastener to an edge portion of a first object, such as a first roofing part, and driving the covered opening fastener into and/or through a second object, such as a second roofing part, to thereby attach the first object and the second object together by the covered opening fastener without forming an opening through the first object.
