Nut locking system with different threads sharing same pitch
A locking nut system includes a threaded member with a first threaded area having a first thread direction and a second threaded area having a second thread direction opposite the first thread direction in which a plurality of crests extend across the first and second threaded areas with a constant pitch between the crests such that minimal material is removed, structural integrity is maintained, and a first nut secures the threaded member to a workpiece and a second opposing nut renders the first nut stationary.
Fastening nut device
A fastening nut device for fastening one substrate to another includes a cylinder, which is circumferentially larger proximate to a first end thereof, thus defining a first section and a second section of the cylinder. External threading, which is reversed, is positioned on the second section and extends from a second end of the cylinder. The cylinder can be inserted into a first hole positioned in a first substrate by counterclockwise rotation. The first section of the cylinder abuts a first face of the first substrate and the second end of the cylinder is accessible from a second face of the first substrate. A channel, which is internally threaded, extends into the cylinder from the second end. A threaded fastener, which is engaged to a second substrate, can be inserted by clockwise rotation into the channel to engage the second substrate to the second face of the first substrate.
FASTENER INCLUDING THREADS
A fastener including a body that extends between a first end and a second end and a head that is engaged with the body at the first end. Further, the body includes a first section with a first outer diameter and a first set of threads oriented in a first direction. The body further includes a second section with a second outer diameter and a second set of threads oriented in a second direction, opposite the first direction. Also, the first section is positioned closer to the head than the second section, and the first set of threads is self-tapping.

Shearable Fastener Bolt And Method For Clamping Electric Wires, And Electrical Connector Comprising A Zero-Protrusion Shearable Fastener
An electric connector comprises a wall surrounding a receptacle that receives a strand of an electric wire and having a threaded hole extending through the wall and opening into the receptacle, and a fastener bolt screwed into the threaded hole and clamping the electric wire. The fastener bolt includes a bolt part having a head section, a thread section and a shearing section connecting the head section and the thread section. The fastener bolt further includes a nut part screwed onto the thread section. The shearing section is adapted to break if a predetermined fastening torque is exceeded. The thread section is hollow and has a predetermined tensile breaking strength.
MULTI-PIECE LOCKING FASTENER ASSEMBLY SUCH AS FOR SECURING A WHEEL RIM TO A VEHICLE HUB
A multi-piece locking fastener having an intermediate component exhibiting a plurality of interior threads arrayed in a first direction. A first fastener has a first enlarged head and a first stem exteriorly threaded in the first direction. A hollowed interior is formed in an end of the stem and exhibits a further plurality of interior threads extending in a second direction opposite the first direction. A second fastener has a second enlarged head and a second stem, upon which is configured a second exterior thread pattern extending in the second direction. The first fastener is installed through the intermediate component from a first direction, with the second fastener rotationally inter-engaging the exposed interior threads of the first fastener in the second direction until the second enlarged heads contact the intermediate component, with loosening of either of the first and second fasteners being prevented.
Multi-piece anti-vibration locking fastener
A three-piece locking fastener including an interiorly threaded intermediate component open at opposite ends. A first screw having a first exterior thread pattern rotationally inter-engages with the interior threads of the intermediate component when installed through a first selected one of the opposite ends, the first screw having a hollow shaft exhibiting a further plurality of interior threads matching a direction of the first thread pattern. A second screw has a second exterior thread pattern opposite the first pattern and, upon being installed within the other selected one of the opposite ends, rotationally inter-engages the interior threads of the first screw, so that loosening of either of the first and second screws being prevented by their counter-threaded orientation.
Shearable fastener bolt and method for clamping electric wires, and electrical connector comprising a zero-protrusion shearable fastener
A fastener bolt for clamping an electric wire includes a bolt part and a nut part. The bolt part has a head section, a thread section, and a shearing section connecting the head section and the thread section. The nut part is screwed onto the thread section. The shearing section is configured to break if a predetermined fastening torque is exceeded. The thread section is hollow and has a predetermined tensile breaking strength.
