ENGAGEMENT STRUCTURE
An engagement structure, through which members mounted on a vehicle are engaged with each other, includes: a claw portion; and a locking portion in which at least a top layer thereof is formed of a material different from a top layer of the claw portion and on which the claw portion is locked, wherein either one of the claw portion and the locking portion includes a protrusion in which a tip thereof heads toward and contacts the other of the claw portion and the locking portion, and the claw portion is locked on the locking portion by the tip of the protrusion contacting the other of the claw portion and the locking portion.
QUICK CONNECTOR WITH COMPRESSIVE AND ROTATIONAL LOCKING AND UNLOCKING MECHANISM
A quick connector with a compressive and rotational locking and unlocking mechanism includes a socket, a plug, a rotatable collar and an undulant resilient piece. The socket includes a first connector body and a plug-connection trackway extending obliquely and having an engaging notch at a terminal end thereof. The plug includes a second connector body and a first limiting wall protruding from the plug. The rotatable collar can be assembled on the plug and includes an engaging protrusion and a second limiting wall. When the rotatable collar is rotated, the engaging protrusion enters into the plug-connection trackway and moves to the terminal end of the plug-connection trackway, and the undulant resilient piece abuts against and forces the first and second limiting walls away from each other, such that the engaging protrusion is lodged in the engaging notch to form a locked state.
Quick change modular gauge
A gauging station includes a substrate plate and a fixture plate secured on the substrate plate. The fixture plate has a first mounting member. A gauging fixture has a second mounting member that is interlockable with the first mounting member to secure the gauging fixture on the fixture plate. One of the first mounting member or the second mounting member is a male wedge, and the other of the first mounting member or the second mounting member is a female wedge slot that is complementary to the male wedge.
Rotary electrical machine provided with a protective cover secured by snap-fastening
The invention relates mainly to a rotary electric machine for a motor vehicle, having: a casing (11), an electronic assembly (47) mounted on the casing, a protective cover (50) positioned around the electronic assembly (47), and a screw (55) that extends along an axis (X) and allows the cover (50) to be fastened to the casing (11) and/or electronic assembly (47). The protective cover (50) has at least one opening that forms a fastening zone into which there extends at least one tongue (56) delimiting a central opening (57) for the screw (55) to pass through. The screw (55) has a screw head (70) and a retaining groove (71) such that the tongues (56) are housed in said groove (71).
Elastomeric component and apparatus and method for assembly thereof
An elastomeric component includes a body feature and a retaining feature coupled to the body feature. The retaining feature includes an insertion end portion, and a retention end portion spaced apart from the insertion end portion along a longitudinal axis. The insertion end portion defines a catch spaced apart from the retention end portion and having a contact location adapted to make first contact with an edge of a retaining hole. The contact location is spaced apart from the catch a first distance. The retaining feature has a blind pocket extending from the retention end portion interiorly of the retaining feature along the longitudinal axis. The blind pocket terminates at an end location spaced from the catch. The elastomeric component may be coupled to a wall defining the retaining hole. Methods of assembly, and an apparatus for installation, are also provided.
CONNECTED SEAT CLIP
A strip of connected clips for holding a trim cover to a vehicle seat includes a plurality of clips which are attached together via breakaway hinges. Each clip includes a base section attached to a barbed retainer section. Characteristically, individual clips can be broken off the strip while leaving the rest of the strip intact.
COVER FOR A VEHICLE
A cover for covering at least partially a vehicle. The vehicle includes a straddle seat and a footrest extending along a lateral side of the vehicle. The cover includes a cover body and a clip connected to the cover body. The clip is configured to be connected to the footrest of the vehicle. The clip includes: a clip body fastened to the cover body; an upper connector extending from an inner side of the clip body and configured to engage an upper side of the footrest so as to restrict forward movement of the clip relative to the footrest; and a lower connector extending from an inner side of the clip body and configured to engage a lower side of the footrest. The clip is configured such that, when the clip is connected to the footrest, an edge portion of the footrest is located between the upper and lower connectors.
FLUID CONTAINER HAVING A RELEASABLE CONNECTION TO A VEHICLE COMPONENT
A fluid container for releasable connection to a vehicle component, wherein the fluid container has at least one fastening lug with an opening which is aligned with a plug-through opening in the vehicle component and the connection is secured by a locking pin which can be extended into the plug-through opening and the opening and/or opening and can be locked in an end position by a rectilinear plug-in movement in a plug-in direction; in order to increase the load-bearing capacity of the connection and to simplify the installation, it is proposed that the fastening lug has a locking device which is arranged in alignment with the respective opening and the locking device includes at least two elastically resilient tabs which act in a latching manner on a thickened locking portion of the locking pin and thereby secure the locking pin in its axial direction.
Component connection
A component connection is provided, having a first component in which a first hole is provided, a second component in which a second hole is provided, and a connecting element which has two interconnected spheres or two interconnected spherical elements. Centers of the two spheres or spherical elements are located on a straight line which extends perpendicular to a first equatorial plane of the first sphere or of the first spherical element. Perpendicular to a second equatorial plane of the second sphere or the second spherical element, an edge of the first hole and an edge of the second hole both extend into an undercut area situated between the two equatorial planes such that an interlocking and/or frictional connection is produced in the undercut area. The connection resists pulling-apart forces acting on the two components.

A roof ditch molding, roof ditch molding assembly, method of constructing a roof ditch molding, and method of assembling a roof ditch molding into a roof ditch of a vehicle are provided. The roof ditch molding includes an elongate metal substrate having an outer surface and an inner surface with opposite edge regions extending along a direction of a longitudinal axis between opposite ends. The inner surface faces and delimits an elongate channel extending between the opposite ends. The opposite edge regions are spaced from one another for snapping receipt of a plurality of fasteners therebetween, thereby eliminating the need for supplemental fastening features to fixedly secure the roof ditch molding within the roof ditch.
