Dual Component Sealing Fastener And Coupling Assembly Including Same
A U-base clip component can include a pair of rib coupling barbs which can extend inwardly from two opposing clip side walls. A seal component can include two opposing aperture retention wings coupled to a central wall. A first and a second component annular seal can extend from opposite respective sides of the central wall. The U-base clip component and the seal component can define an interior rib receiving cavity between both the clip side walls and the aperture retention wings. A pair of rib coupling barbs can extend into the interior rib receiving cavity from the clip side walls and the two opposing aperture retention wings can extend exteriorly from the clip side walls. The rib coupling barbs of the U-base clip can be designed to couple fastener to the rib and the aperture retention wings can be designed to couple the dual component sealing fastener to the aperture.
Trim clip with four point retention
A fastener includes a grommet and a pin. The grommet has a bottom set of lead in features. The pin is configured to removably snapably engage the grommet. The pin has a lead in feature.
Fastening assembly
A fastening assembly includes a receiving seat and a clip having an operation portion, a holding portion, an insertion portion, and a pair of connection leg portions. The receiving seat includes a neck portion and a receiving channel. The insertion portion connects to the operation portion by the pair of connection leg portions, and the holding portion connects to the operation portion. When the clip is mounted on the neck portion of the receiving seat, the insertion portion of the clip is at least partially inserted into the receiving channel through the opening in a first neck portion side wall, and the holding portion of the clip abuts against a second neck portion side wall. When a pushing force is applied to the operation portion toward the neck portion, the insertion portion can be withdrawn from the receiving channel, such that the clip can be removed from the receiving seat.
FASTENING CLIP
A fastening clip (100), for securing a first component (200) and a second component (300), includes a body portion (102) and a collar (104) formed at an edge of the body portion (102). The body portion (102) includes a flat surface (106) having a first face and a second face, a locking element (110) extending from the first face of the flat surface (106) and adapted to detachably couple to the first component (200), and a plurality of engagement portions (108) extending from the first face of the flat surface (106) and adapted to detachably couple to the second component (300). The collar (104) includes a first flange (112) extending from the second face in an opposite direction from the plurality of engagement portions. The first flange (112) is flexible and is adapted to abut against the first component (200).
DEVICE FOR ASSEMBLING RECLINING SEAT OF VEHICLE
The present disclosure provides a reclining seat assembly device for a vehicle in which a guide pin mounted on a mounting frame of a leg unit is inserted into a guide hole formed in a floor panel so as to be prevented from being separated from the guide hole during reclining of a seatback, whereby the reclining seat is prevented from deviating from a predetermined position on the floor panel and subsequent processes for assembling the reclining seat can be smoothly carried out.
Grommet removal assemblies and methods
A grommet removal assembly includes a grommet and a grommet removal tool. The grommet includes a body defining a longitudinal axis, a plurality of arms extending from the body, the plurality of arms defining first engagement ramps, and a plurality of legs extending from the body. The grommet removal tool includes a shaft and a plurality of wings extending from the shaft and defining a plurality of second engagement ramps. The first engagement ramps of the wings are capable of engagement with the second engagement ramps along the plurality of arms to draw the arms inward, toward the longitudinal axis of the body.
Pre-Captured Push Retainer
Disclosed are systems and methods for coupling a first panel to a second panel via a push retainer. The push retainer includes an annular body, flexible tabs, and legs. The annular body has a topside surface and an underside surface. The annular body defines an opening. The flexible tabs are coupled to the annular body and canted upwardly away from the topside surface at a first angle. The flexible tabs are configured to engage a post of the second panel. The legs extend downwardly away from the underside surface at a second angle. The legs are configured to engage the first panel to form a part-in-assembly (PIA) component when inserted through the opening.
Spring fastener
According to one embodiment, a fastener comprises a first side and a second side opposite the first side. The first side is connected to the second side thereby forming a U-shaped structure. The fastener further comprises a bottom portion wherein the first side and the second side are connected, and a top portion opposite the bottom portion. The first side comprises a first engagement spring. The first engagement spring is connected to the first side in the vicinity of the bottom portion. The engagement springs have inward facing gussets connected to the bottom portion. The second side comprises a second engagement spring. The second engagement spring is connected to the second side in the vicinity of the bottom portion. A cavity is formed between the first side and the second side as will be described below. The engagement springs include an engagement region operable to adapt to variations or movement of a slot.
Fastener clip
An improved fastener clip for a side curtain airbag is provided. The fastener clip includes a head portion and a body portion having first and second expansion legs. During installation, the fastener clip is manually inserted through aligned openings in an airbag attachment member and a body panel. When a bolt is threaded into the fastener clip, the head portion engages an upper surface of the airbag attachment member and the expansion legs flex laterally outward and engage an underside of the body panel. Spring tabs extend from the head portion and absorb vibrations to provide a secure attachment over the life of the fastener clip.
Fastener and attachment assembly comprising such a fastener
A fastener having two branches extending on either side of a median plane, each branch carrying a tongue, the tongues defining between them a throat between the two branches. When the fastener is reversed with respect to another identical fastener, their respective median planes forming a non-zero angle between them, one branch of the fastener having its distal portion in contact with at least one of the two tongues of the other fastener and its outer face in contact with an inner face of one branch of the other fastener, the distal portion of the other branch of the fastener is substantially in contact with the distal portion of the other branch of the other fastener.
