11519437 · 2022-12-06 · ·

Disclosed is a clip for fastening a first element to a second element, wherein the clip has a head, a tip, a first clip side, and a second clip side. The first clip side extends from the head along a longitudinal axis in the direction of the tip, and the second clip side extends from the head along the longitudinal axis in the direction of the tip and has a clip surface protruding from the first clip side. The clip surface can be moved, under the tension of a spring, from a first position into a position located closer to the longitudinal axis than the first position. The head surface merges into a first side wall via a first bending section which is bent around a first bending axis, wherein the first bending axis is at an angle of >0° to <180° to the longitudinal axis.

Fastener feedback feature

A fastener or grommet is configured to securely clamp together one or more components. The fastener includes a body having a longitudinal axis and at least one wall. The body further includes two arms extending from the body on opposite sides at a flexure joint. Each of the arms includes a feedback feature that causes hesitation in the fastener during installation. The feedback feature further comprises an arched profile that extends the entire width of each of the arms.

Connecting clip incorporating a spring structure

A clip is structured for coupling together a first component and a second component. The clip includes a body portion and an opposing wall residing opposite and spaced apart from the body portion. At least one connecting member spans a space between the body portion and the opposing wall to connect the body portion and the opposing wall. The at least one connecting member is structured to enable resilient movement of each of the body portion and the opposing wall with respect to the other one of the body portion and the opposing wall responsive to a force acting on the body portion and/or a force acting on the opposing wall.

Blind assembly fastener system
