A cable-to-pipe connector is provided. A cable-to-pipe connector for providing continuous transfer of current from a cable to a utility pipe in above grade and below grade systems, comprising a conductive lug comprising a head at a top end of the conductive lug affixed to a noncircular neck that is further affixed to a body in a linear formation, the head, the neck, and the body having decreasing diameters respectively. An insulating shell partially encasing by the conductive lug. A horizontal aperture at a midway point of the head. A first fastener extending from above a top of the head through the horizontal aperture. A threaded member at a base end of the conductive lug and a bottom end of the insulation shell.

Articles having thermoset coatings and coating methods

A method to prevent corrosion of a susceptible article of a two-article system, in which first and second articles of the two-article system have surfaces facing one another and in which the two articles have different anodic indices includes applying a coating material to the surface of the first article and curing the coating material on the surface of the first article. The method further includes contacting and securing the surface of the first article with the surface of the second article. The two articles exhibit substantially no corrosion following exposure to a corrosive environment under standard GMW17026 for a 15 year simulated test.

Bolt and method of manufacturing the same

A bolt includes a head portion on which a recess is formed. The recess has a bottom surface and a sidewall extending from a periphery of the bottom surface. The sidewall has a lower end defined by the bottom surface and includes an increased diameter portion and a reduced diameter portion. The increased diameter portion has an inner diameter larger than an inner diameter of the lower end of the side wall. The reduced diameter portion has an inner diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the increased diameter portion. The reduced diameter portion is located opposite to the bottom surface across the increased diameter portion.

A bolt-nut (1) includes: a nut body (4) in a substantially cylindrical shape; plural nut divided bodies (4a); a cover body (5) in a substantially cylindrical shape for covering the nut body (4); a cover-side tapered portion formed on an inner wall of the cover body (5); a nut-side tapered portion (4a) formed such that an outer diameter of an outer wall of the nut body (4) is reduced toward one end portion thereof so as to correspond to the cover-side tapered portion; a spring (6) that is accommodated together with the nut body (4) in the cover body (5); and a nut (2) that includes a lid body (7) covering the other end portion of the cover body (5). A bolt screw as a ridge of the bolt and a nut screw as a ridge of the nut body (4) have unequal pitches that are different from each other.

GALVANIC CORROSION RESISTANT FASTENER

A fastening assembly includes: a panel defining an aperture; a fastener having a cap and a shaft extending from the cap, the shaft being disposed through the aperture, the fastener having a first corrosion rate, and the fastener including: a recess formed in the cap and extending at least partially around the shaft; face surfaces that are planar and that are to directly contact the panel; and recessed channels that are disposed between the face surfaces, respectively, that are recessed relative to the face surfaces, and that extend from a radially outer edge of the cap to the recess; and an anode insert disposed in the recess and having a second corrosion rate that is faster than the first corrosion rate.

FASTENING MEMBER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME

Provided is a fastening member having a base material including an aluminum alloy and an anticorrosive film with which the base material is coated. This anticorrosive film contains aluminum hydroxide oxide (AlO(OH)), and in a profile obtained from X-ray diffractometry with a Cu-Kα radiation on the fastening member, a peak intensity ratio R (I.sub.B(020)/I.sub.Al(200)) is 0.003 or more and 0.1 or less, wherein I.sub.B(020) is an intensity of a diffraction peak of a (020) plane of aluminum hydroxide oxide, and I.sub.Al(200) is an intensity of a diffraction peak of a (200) plane of aluminum as a main peak. The anticorrosive film formed by the present invention is uniformly formed on the fastening member and excellent in stability and adhesion.
