Fastening assembly and a corresponding switch cabinet housing
The invention relates to a fastening arrangement including a profiled strut and a plug-in nut mounted in an aperture of the profile strut, wherein the plug-in nut has a threaded nut held on a clasp, wherein the clasp has a first and a second actuating end, via which the plug-in nut projects out of the aperture, wherein in a locking position of the actuating ends relative to each other an edge of the aperture is received in a receptacle of the clasp. Additionally, a corresponding switch cabinet housing is disclosed.
Fastener device for securing articles to a slatted floor
A cost-effective anchor member formed of sheet metal for use with a compression style fastener device for securing equipment such as hog penning and gates to a slatted floor, the anchor member having an elongated body with a curved center section and opposed inclined sections extending upwardly and outwardly from the center section, and a cutout formed in the curved center section in which an internally threaded attachment member is secured against rotating, wherein in use the anchor member is positioned extending laterally against the underside of the slatted floor with spaced apart contact locations supporting the anchor member and providing improved stability.
Fastener assembly with pivoting nut
An example pivot nut assembly includes a pivot body and a nut. The nut is pivotably engaged in the pivot body.
THREADED FASTENER
A threaded fastener includes a nut forming a threaded center hole that defines a rotational axis. The threaded fastener also includes a plurality of spring plungers affixed to the nut, each having a shaft that is aligned parallel to the rotational axis. The threaded fastener also includes a positioner forming (i) an unthreaded center hole that is coaxial with the threaded center hole and (ii) a plurality of recesses facing the spring plungers. As the nut is torqued against the positioner on a threaded spindle, the spring plungers repeatedly engage and disengage the recesses as the nut rotates with respect to the positioner. The recesses are shaped such that positioner converts the applied torque into a linear force that compresses the spring plungers, thereby locking the threads of the nut against the threads of the spindle.
Device for resisting rotation of a tap
A device for resisting rotation of a tap fitted to a work surface comprises a body; an engagement formation for engaging with a part of the tap; and an attachment means for irrotatably attaching the device to the tap. The device further comprises fastening means for irrotatably fastening the device to a work surface.
MULTI-PIECE FASTENER COMPRISING A TAPERED THREADED PORTION AND METHOD OF FASTENING
A fastener comprising a pin and a collar. The pin comprising a shank comprising a tapered lock groove thread profile; and a head portion configured to receive a torque. The collar configured to be deformed onto and secured to the shank, wherein the collar comprises an external surface configured to receive a torque such that the collar can be removed from the shank after deformation.
RELEASABLE MOUNTING DEVICE
A releasable mounting device for supporting an article including a metal sheet having a front surface, a rear surface opposite the front surface, and a side edge extending between the front surface and the rear surface. At least a first hole extends through the sheet from the front surface to the rear surface. Hooked barbs extend integrally from the top surface, and grooves formed in the top surface. Each hooked barb is associated with a respective one of the grooves.
Adjustable coupling mechanisms for projectile devices
The present disclosure provides an assembly including at least one adjustable coupling mechanism. In one aspect, the first coupling mechanism includes a first component having a central axis parallel to its outside surface. The first component further includes an inside surface defined by a bore formed in the first component along a central bore axis. The central bore axis is offset from the central axis. The first component can be coupled to the assembly, uncoupled, rotated about its central axis, and recoupled to change a distance between the first coupling mechanism and another part of the assembly. The first component further includes a plurality of holes formed circumferentially around the bore bottom and extending through the bore bottom and the bottom surface of the first component that can be used to removably couple the first component to the assembly.
INSERT NUT AND FASTENING DEVICE
An insert nut includes a cylindrical portion into which a bolt is removably insertable. An inner periphery of the cylindrical portion includes a first region, a second region and a third region which are provided in the order named from an upstream side to a downstream side with respect to an insertion direction of the bolt at an inner periphery thereof. The first region and the third region include a female screw portion threadably engageable with the bolt. The second region has a minimum inner diameter larger than D1+2×h1×0.3, where D1 is an inner diameter of the female screw portion in the first region at a screw thread position and h1 is a height of a screw thread of the female screw portion in the first region.
Lug nut holder and method of use
An apparatus and method for holding a lug nut. The apparatus includes a base (150), a barrel (140), a lug nut engagement assembly (130), a plunger and a cam guide (170). The barrel (140) is coupled with the base (152) in a manner allowing the barrel (140) to move upwardly or downwardly within the base (150). The barrel (140) has an internal cam track portion (145). The lug nut engagement assembly (130) includes retractable fingers (132). The lug nut engagement assembly (130) is removeably affixed to the barrel (140). The plunger (160) is disposed within a portion of the lug nut engagement assembly (130), the barrel (140) and the cam guide (170). The plunger (160) has a tip for engagement with the retractable fingers (132). The cam guide (170) is disposed and moveable within a bottom portion of the barrel (140). The cam guide (170) has longitudinal rails (172) for engagement with the internal cam track (145) of the barrel (140).
