Use of an Oversized Threaded Rod in a Locking Oblong Hole
A method for securing a first part to a second part where the first part has a locking oblong hole. The method includes passing a locking threaded rod through the locking oblong hole and into the second part. The locking threaded rod is oversized with respect to a width of the locking oblong hole such that the locking threaded rod widens the locking oblong hole as the locking threaded rod is passing through the locking oblong hole.
Method and system for interconnecting structural panels
Building or structural panels may be joined, such as to form walls or floors. The panels may be connected in various orientations via one or more connectors. The connectors may mount to anchors associated with the panels. The panels may have outer skins located over an expanded core comprising a matrix of supporting elongate members and voids or openings, with the anchors located at edges of the panels.
Connecting element, a mechanical joint and use of two connecting elements in a mechanical joint
A connecting element for a mechanical joint includes a base part, and a connector part protruding from the base part. The connector part includes a protrusion portion, and a contacting portion extending from the protrusion portion to a direction of the first end of the base part such that a gap is formed between the contacting portion and the front surface of the base part and such that a bottom of the gap is formed by the protrusion portion. The contacting portion includes a front surface which is parallel to the portion of the front surface of the base part in the area of the gap and a back surface facing toward the front surface of the base part.
COUPLING STRUCTURE FOR BOARD ASSEMBLY
The present subject matter discloses a board coupling structure with a first board and a second board. The first board and the second board are respectively formed with strip-shaped ribs and strip-shaped grooves that can be interlocked with each other. The strip-shaped rib can comprise at least one longitudinally extending arm and one or more transversely extending arms. In particular, the one or more spaced apart transversely extending arms can increase the contact surface of the strip-shaped rib and the strip-shaped groove. Moreover, the connected boards do not need connectors. In addition, the board coupling structure can have a wide range of applications with a particular use in connecting two adjacent boards of a box.
CONNECTOR AND CONTAINMENT SYSTEM FOR A PORTABLE FREE-STANDING SKATING RINK
A connector for removably securing and vertically stacking perimeter components of a skating rink. The connector includes an elongated body extending a length from a first axial end to a second axial end along an axis thereof. The length is selected to span a height of at least two perimeter components. A first anchoring feature extends at least a portion of the length into or along a first lateral side of the elongated body. A second anchoring feature extends at least a portion of the length into or along a second lateral side of the elongated body.
Connectable Box Carcass Framework Members
A pair of connectable box carcass framework members for the fabrication of non-panel constructed furniture carcasses. They simplify the construction of a furniture carcass with a minimal of tools and skill required to produce a dimensionally square, precisely sized, box that accepts an abundance of aesthetic and functional options. They are based on a pair of mechanical fastener connectable vertical and horizontal members that have connectable zipper channels, linear rabbets for the retention of side panels, screw busses, and open channels with series of spaced orifices therein for the passage of mechanical connectors.
Method and system for interconnecting structural panels
A panel may be configured with panel mounts by forming a panel connector accepting slot in the panel and then locating connector mounts in the slot. In another embodiment, a panel may be configured with panel connector mounts by milling a panel to leave areas of panel material which form the mounts and milling the panel behind to connector mounts to define areas for accepting portions of the panel connector. Panels having the defined connector mounts may be connected by one or more panel connectors which engage the connector mounts.
BOARD INTERLOCKING STRUCTURE
A board interlocking structure is disclosed herein, comprising a first board, a second board, and a third board, wherein a coupling structure configured to connect to the other two boards is integrally formed on each of the first board, the second board, and the third board. The first board, the second board, and the third board are configured to interlock with one another via the coupling structure. The present disclosure is advantageous in the following aspects: it provides a coupling structure integrally formed on each board that is capable of connecting to the other two boards, allowing the three boards to be interlocked together. The board interlocking structure thus provides a simple, fast and robust interlock mechanism. Further, as no fasteners are required for connecting the boards, the board interlocking structure leads to easy assembly and disassembly of the three boards.
Platform assembly and a method for manufacturing an elevator car and an elevator car
A platform assembly includes a first platform module having an elongated front face, a second platform module having an elongated front face, and a locking member for locking the front faces of the first and second platform modules to each other. The locking member is movably mounted on the first platform module in a longitudinal direction of the front face thereof, and at least one of the locking member and the second platform includes a locking protrusion, and the other of the locking member and the second platform includes a locking slot, wherein the locking protrusion is received by the locking slot and protrudes from the front face of the first platform module. An edge of the locking protrusion is behind an edge of the locking slot when the locking member is moved in said longitudinal direction of the front face, thereby locking the platform modules to each other.
Method and apparatus for joining composite panels
A method of joining panels is disclosed, including adhesively bonding a case in a slot of a first panel, the case having a channel on an inner side, and adhesively bonding a plate to a tab portion of a second panel, the plate having an external pin member. The method further includes inserting the tab portion of the second panel into the case in the slot of the first panel and sliding the external pin member of the plate along the channel on the inner side of the case, to a locking position.
