Recessed-Key Panel Interlocking Device
20220364586 · 2022-11-17 ·

The recessed-key panel interlocking device is intended to provide a mechanical joint that can connect two panels using a single fastening key. Accordingly, the device connects two panels by interlocking uniform gaps and fingers that have been formed on the edges of each panel, by a small cylindrical key that holds them together. To accomplish this, a channel that can hold the key is formed along the edge region of both panels when the panels are oriented normally to one another. Further, when the panels are interlocked, the key is completely recessed within the panel material. Furthermore, while the panel edges that form the joint must be uniformly rectilinear and meet at right angles at the joint itself, beyond the joint they can assume any shape and bend to any angle, so that parts joined by the joint do not have to be panel-shaped or perpendicular to each other overall.

In one embodiment, the washers are configured and placed to overlap joints of the flooring sections. In some embodiments, floor brackets can be used to secure a flooring section to a fixed fixture of the vehicle. In one embodiment, the flooring sections are patterns cut into sheets of material and provided with retaining tabs to facilitate flat pack shipping of the flooring sections.

Aluminum assembly

An aluminum assembly includes at least an aluminum member. Each aluminum member has a first coupling element and a second coupling element extended from two edges of the aluminum member. The first coupling element has a first groove section and a first protrusion. The first groove section has a first fastener and a second fastener. The second coupling element has a second groove section and a second protrusion. The second groove section has a third fastener and a fourth fastener. As such, the first coupling element of a first aluminum member may be detachably coupled to the second coupling element of a second aluminum member, and the second coupling element of the first aluminum member may be coupled to the first coupling element of a third aluminum member. An aluminum assembly of various forms may be constructed in this way.

CONNECTOR FOR TWO WORKPIECES
20230375018 · 2023-11-23 · ·

The invention relates to a connector for two workpieces, comprising two fittings which each have a mounting face for a workpiece and an opposite connecting face, on which they can be hooked into one another in a hooking direction extending in parallel with the connecting face. Each fitting comprises, on its connecting face, a shoulder which extends transversely to the hooking direction over its entire width and comprises an undercut, which leaves a ridge on the shoulder. The end face of each fitting remote from the shoulder and adjacent to the connecting face has a lip adjacent to the connecting face and extending over its entire width transversely to the hooking direction. The lip of each fitting engages in the undercut in the respective other fitting in a first position of the fittings in which they are hooked into one another.

JOINT ASSEMBLY
20210131466 · 2021-05-06 · ·

A joint assembly joins first and second components about a common axis. The first component has a first end portion having a radially outwardly facing surface shaped to fit radially inside a second surface of a hollow second end portion of the second component to form an interface between the opposing first and second surfaces. The first and second surfaces have a concavity extending laterally with respect to the axis such that when the first and second surfaces are opposingly arranged the opposing concavities define a cavity at the interface. A retaining member is insertable into the cavity at the interface to prevent axial separation of the first and second components. One of the first and second end portions has a free end protrusion axially spaced from the concavity and the other of the first and second end portions has an axially extending recess arranged to receive the free end.
