Fastener Arrangement
A fastener arrangement with a fastener designed for fastening to a substrate by means of an adhesive agent, and with an object having an object mount, whereby the object mount can be fixed to the fastener fastened to the substrate. The fastener has a reinforcement part composed of a metallic material, the side wall elements of which are mounted between a retaining ring and edge segments of a holder. The side wall elements of the reinforcement part are designed for fixing the object mount. The fastener has a press-on element bounding an adhesive reservoir, wherein adhesive agent can be guided out of the adhesive reservoir through openings in the reinforcement part and in the holder by a displacement of the press-on element in the axial direction, such that the adhesive agent fixes the fastener to the substrate.
Connector for non-cylindrical composite tubing
A connector may couple to a non-cylindrical composite tubing having at least two lateral sides disposed in parallel and an open end. The connector may comprise first and second bonding plates adhered to an inner surface of the two lateral sides via an epoxy adhesive uniformly distributed. The first and second bonding plates may each have a distal lateral face defining a plurality of first threaded holes accessible at the open end of the composite tubing. The connector may also comprise an end plate having a plurality of first and second slotted holes disposed substantially in parallel and each aligned with an associating one of the first threaded holes. The connector may also comprise end plate fasteners loosely inserted through the first and second slotted holes and engaged with the first threaded holes. The end plate may also comprise one or more attachment points.
CAST-IN INSERTION MEMBER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
A cast-in insertion member out of which a core inserted during casting of cast portion can easily be pulled, and production method thereof are provided. Inside covering portion is formed to cover the interior of one end of pipe. During the casting, inside covering portion is interposed between the inner surface of the one end of pipe and the outer surface of the tip of the core put into pipe, so that a bite between pipe and the core by contraction of pipe due to molding shrinkage of cast portion can be prevented. Inside covering portion includes tapered surface on the side of recess, which gradually widens from the one end to the other end of pipe. After molding of cast portion, tapered surface making contact with the outer surface of the tip of the core gradually widens in the direction opposite to that of putting the core into pipe.
Systems and methods for gamma radiation based stabilization of replicated mirror structures at the nanometer-scale
An assembly comprises an exposure chamber configured to receive a structure and identify at least one portion of the structure for further processing. The exposure chamber is further configured to expose the at least one portion of the structure to radiation such that a high cure state and a low residual stress are achieved for the structure. A dosage level of the radiation is determined based, at least in part, on the composition of the structure.

POSITIONING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
A positioning device includes a body. The body is adapted to be disposed on a first object. The first positioning member is movably connected to the body or a second positioning member. The second positioning member is movably connected to the body or the first positioning member, and the first positioning member is located between the second positioning member and the first object. The present disclosure further provides a method of use of a positioning device.
SYSTEM FOR FILLING VOIDS IN GLUED-IN-ROD STRUCTURES
A glued-in-rod wooden structure includes a prepared hole for sealing voids which may be open to the prepared hole. In one example, the prepared hole is filled with an expanding foam which at least partially fills and seals the voids open to the prepared hole. Thereafter, the prepared hole may be enlarged by drilling to its final diameter for receiving the rod. Any voids in the enlarged hole remain sealed by the expanding foam.
Corner connection for support elements of a cableway cabin
A corner connection is provided between support elements of a cableway cabin. The corner connection has a support element (1), designed as an elongated strut having a hollow end (2), and an angled connecting element (3) having a connecting piece (4). The connecting piece (4) is insertable into the hollow end (2) of the support element (1) in a form-fitting manner. An inner shape of the hollow end (2) and an outer shape of the connecting piece (4) have an angular design. At least two oppositely situated surfaces of the hollow end (2) and the connecting piece (4) are provided in a form-fitting manner in such a way that a gap (14, 14′) remains between the inner surface (10, 10′) of the hollow end (2) and the outer surface (9, 9′) of the connecting piece (4), wherein an adhesive material is provided in the gap (14, 14′).
Universal castings for rectangular tube corner stress relief
A gusset structure includes a body having a plate contacting end forming a plate mating surface, and extending from the plate contacting end to a distal end. The body defines a tube mating surface extending between the plate contacting end and the distal end. The plate mating surface engages a plate. The tube mating surface includes a first surface portion and a second surface portion forming an interior surface angle therebetween. The interior surface angle has a vertex disposed on a vertex axis, which intersects the plate mating surface. The first surface portion engages a first side wall of an elongate member. The second surface portion engages a second side wall of the elongate member. The body flares outward from the distal end toward the plate contacting end to distribute stress in the plate from the corner of the elongate member over a larger area.
Low temperature method for hermetically joining non-diffusing ceramic materials in multi-layer plate devices
A method for the joining of ceramic pieces with a hermetically sealed joint comprising brazing a layer of joining material between the two pieces. The wetting and flow of the joining material is controlled by the selection of the joining material, the joining temperature, the joining atmosphere, and other factors. The ceramic pieces may be on a non-diffusable type, such as aluminum nitride, alumina, beryllium oxide, and zirconia, and the pieces may be brazed with an aluminum alloy under controlled atmosphere. The joint material is adapted to later withstand both the environments within a process chamber during substrate processing, and the oxygenated atmosphere which may be seen within the shaft of a heater or electrostatic chuck.
