Hood Release Lever Assembly and Mounting Structure Thereof
In an embodiment a hood release lever assembly includes a bracket and a hood release lever pivotally connected to the bracket, wherein the bracket includes a bracket body, a retention clip protruding from the bracket body, and a hooked rib located at a bottom end of the bracket body and wherein a free end of the hooked rib faces the retention clip.
Motor vehicle Bowden cable arrangement
A motor vehicle Bowden cable arrangement, in particular for application in the event of and in conjunction with motor vehicle door locks. The Bowden cable arrangement has a core and a sheath which accommodates the core. Moreover, a spring is implemented between the sheath and an abutment. The abutment is formed on or in a support which is preferably mounted flying on the sheath.
Actuator assembly for a vehicle door having a clip-on wiper for preventing infiltration of foreign matertal into the cable housing
A vehicle door includes an actuator for operating a latching mechanism. An actuator cable extends between the actuator and the latching mechanism. A cable housing slidably receives the actuator cable. The actuator cable is operable within the cable housing between extended and retracted positions. A cable bracket secures the cable housing to a frame member in a secured position. A clip assembly attaches to the cable housing and slidably engages the actuator cable upon operation of the actuator. The clip assembly engages the cable housing at a first side of the cable bracket and engages the actuator cable at a second side of the cable bracket.
Motor vehicle lock
A motor vehicle lock includes a locking mechanism with a rotary latch and at least one pawl, an actuating lever which can directly or indirectly unlock the locking mechanism, and at least one Bowden cable. The Bowden cable, in particular the Bowden pull cable, has a spherical-shaped end piece and the end piece can be connected to the actuating lever. The Bowden cable is housed in the motor vehicle lock so it can rotate.
BUTTON ASSEMBLY FOR SEAT POSITION CONTROL
Button assemblies for controlling a seat position and for mounting on a seat panel are provided. The button assemblies may have a button housing having a portion that is configured to position over edges of an opening in the seat panel. One or more flexible retaining members integral to or attached to the button housing are configured to compress through the opening in the seat panel and expand therein positioned opposite an inner surface thereof upon insertion, securing the assembly within the opening.
CONTROL CABLE MOUNTING AND ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM
A control cable positioning, retaining and adjusting system, for mounting a sheathed cable assembly to a frame member, comprises a cable assembly housing having an axially extending, toothed region extending along at least a part of its length, a mounting bracket configured to supportingly receive the cable assembly housing and having an adjustment window to display the toothed region there-through. A cable assembly adjusting lever is mounted to the cable assembly receiver and has a first end comprising an actuator, a second end having a locking tooth extending therefrom and a mid-portion mounted to the cable assembly receiver such that the lever is pivotable thereabout, wherein the cable assembly adjusting lever is positioned such that the locking tooth engages the axially extending, toothed region of the cable assembly housing through the adjustment window or opening.
CABLE END FITTING AND CABLE ABUTMENT AND METHOD OF SECUREMENT
A cable conduit end for securing a cable to a cable abutment of a latch is provided. The cable conduit end having: a housing; an alignment feature incorporated into a surface of the housing; a flexible retention feature integrally formed with the conduit end, wherein the flexible retention feature is spring biased away from the housing to a first position; and a radial retention feature extending outwardly away from the housing, wherein the flexible retention feature is located proximate to a first end of the housing and the radial retention feature is located proximate to a second end of the housing.
Vehicle door latch device
In a vehicle door latch device, ingress of rainwater into an outer cable of a Bowden cable is prevented. Vehicle door latch device includes: operation handle provided in a door; door latch mechanism attached in the door; Bowden cable having outer cable that is fixed at one end to the vicinity of operation handle and at the other end to door latch mechanism, and inner cable that is inserted into outer cable while being coupled at one upward end to operation handle and at the other end to release lever of door latch mechanism; and elastic cap provided at one end of the outer cable, having the corresponding one of cover portions in a cylindrical shape, extending in a movement direction of the inner cable extending from the one end of the outer cable, to cover the inner cable.
Release cable lockout mechanism
A cable release system configured to actuate a latch mechanism includes a cable arrangement configured to shift in response to an actuation force. The shifting of the cable arrangement is thereby configured to actuate the latch mechanism. The cable release system also includes a lockout mechanism configured to selectively impede shifting of the cable arrangement in response to the actuation force. Such selective impeding of the shifting of the cable arrangement is thereby configured to prevent actuation of the latch mechanism. A vehicle may employ the cable release system configured to actuate a latch mechanism to thereby unlatch a panel from the vehicle body.
