ROLLING BEARING FOR AIR TURBINE
A rolling bearing includes an outer ring, an inner ring, a plurality of rolling bodies, and a seal member. An outer peripheral portion of the seal member is fixed by a retaining ring to a groove portion formed on an inner peripheral surface of the outer ring and an inner peripheral portion of the seal member is elastically deformable. The seal member includes an inclined portion. 1≤Ts/Sct≤10 is satisfied when Ts is a circumferential gap of the retaining ring at a time when the seal member and the retaining ring are attached to the groove portion of the outer ring and Sct is an axial thickness of a part of the seal member in contact with the retaining ring.
The seal member satisfies 0.25≤Skn/Skt≤2.5 when Skn is a radial length from an inclination start part of the inclined portion on an inside in an axial direction to an outermost diameter position of a part of contact of the seal member with an outer peripheral surface of the inner ring and Skt is a thickness of the inclined portion in a direction perpendicular to an inclination direction.
BEARING ASSEMBLY AND EXHAUST GAS TURBOCHARGER
The invention relates to a bearing assembly for an exhaust gas turbocharger for rotatably supporting a rotor shaft on a bearing housing, having at least one bearing outer ring of a radial bearing, which at least one bearing outer ring is placed in a bearing bore of the bearing housing and consists of at least one part, and at least one securing element, which consists of at least one part and by which the bearing outer ring is axially fastened in relation to the bearing housing. In order to simplify the assembly of a corresponding bearing assembly and to reduce the production costs thereof, at least one circumferential groove, according to the invention, is arranged on an outer lateral surface of a compressor-side end section of the bearing outer ring, in which at least one groove the securing element engages, and the securing element is arranged outside of the bearing bore on the compressor side and is supported at least indirectly on a compressor-side end of the bearing housing.
SPHERICAL BEARING HAVING A SWAGED OUTER RING
A spherical bearing having an outer ring and an inner ring respectively including an inner surface and an outer surface that are in contact with one another. Moreover, the material of the outer ring provides an alloy having the formula NiCr19Fe18Nb or an alloy having the formula X6NiCrTiMoVB25-15-2.
Bearing unit for a turbocharger rotor
The invention relates to a bearing unit for a turbocharger rotor. The bearing unit comprises a bearing housing and a bearing bush which is arranged in a central bore for radially mounting a turbocharger rotor in the bearing housing. In the region of a first axial end, the bearing bush has a radially outwardly extending projection. The projection is designed to interact with the bearing housing as an anti-rotation safeguard for the bearing bush.
Roller Bearing
A roller bearing includes an outer ring, an inner ring, and plural rolling elements rollably interposed between mutual raceway surfaces of the outer and inner rings, and is used by fitting an outer diameter surface of the outer ring serving as a fitting surface to a housing serving as a mating member or by fitting an inner diameter surface of the inner ring serving as a fitting surface to a shaft serving as the mating member. The fitting surface is provided with at least one protrusion so that a static torque T.sub.hold=Σ(F×r) generated by the protrusion is equal to or greater than a torque T.sub.creep generated by creep.
ANTI-FRICTION BEARING COMPRISING A DISCHARGING DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR THE DISCHARGE OF ELECTROSTATIC CHARGES
A roller bearing including a conduction apparatus and a method for conducting electrostatic charges at a roller bearing, the conduction apparatus including at least one elastic conductor having a first conductor section and a second conductor section for forming a contact assembly on the roller bearing, the first conductor section being mounted on a first bearing ring of the roller bearing and the second conductor section being mounted on a second bearing ring of the roller bearing, an electrically conductive connection being established between the first bearing ring and the second bearing ring. The conductor is supported at the first bearing ring, the first conductor section being inserted into at least a straight recess of the first bearing ring.
Bearing assembly
A bearing assembly includes a roller bearing connected with a bearing support having a plate-shaped section. The bearing support has a receiving bore for an outer ring of the roller bearing, and the outer ring of the roller bearing is affixed to the bearing support with two affixing plates that are fixed to first and second end sides of the bearing support and that clamp the outer ring at two clamping surfaces. An axial spacing of the first and second end sides of the bearing support is smaller than an axial spacing of the clamping surfaces of the outer ring, and the two affixing plates have a different mechanical strength.
Retention arrangement for a rolling element bearing
A rolling element bearing retention arrangement provides axial and rotational retention of a rolling element bearing within a housing. A retaining ring is received partially within circumferential grooves located on an outer ring of the rolling element bearing, and within a bore of the housing, providing axial retention. Inward and outward directed protrusions on each end of the retaining ring engage cavities within the respective circumferential grooves, providing rotational retention.
Systems and methods for engine bearings
Systems and methods are disclosed herein for bearings in a gas turbine engine. A bearing system may include a squirrel cage and a bearing support cage coupled to the squirrel cage. The bearing support cage may include an outer race and a fenestrated cone. The bearing support cage may include a support cage anti-rotation tab adjacent to the outer race. The bearing system may include a housing coupled to the squirrel cage. The housing may include a housing anti-rotation tab. The support cage anti-rotation tab and the housing anti-rotation tab may prevent the bearing system from twisting.
