Bearing element having polymeric coating and method of application of polymeric coating to bearing element for electrical insulation
A method of providing electrical insulation for at least one portion of a bearing element is disclosed herein. The method includes electrostatically spraying a polymer coating to the at least one portion of the bearing element, and the polymer coating comprises a thermoset epoxy coating or a self-adhering nylon powder coating. The bearing element can be grounded during the electrostatic spraying. The method includes heating the polymer coating in an oven at a temperature less than or equal to 220° C. for a predetermined time, such that after removal from the oven, the polymer coating has a porosity of less than 10%. The coated bearing element has a resistance of at least 50 MΩ resistance under dry conditions and 10 MΩ resistance under wet conditions.
ANTI-FRICTION LACQUER AND SLIDING ELEMENT HAVING SUCH AN ANTI-FRICTION LACQUER
An anti-friction lacquer has a resin matrix of a polymer and functional fillers containing mixed-phase oxides having a specified grinding hardness and proportion and optionally contain further functional fillers. A sliding element is also disclosed having a metallic substrate layer and a coating applied to the substrate that is made of at least in part of the anti-friction.
SHACKLE FOR FASTENING AN AIRCRAFT ENGINE COMPRISING A PAIR OF ENCAPSULATED ANTI-FRICTION COATINGS, AND AIRCRAFT COMPRISING SUCH A SHACKLE
A shackle for fastening an aircraft engine including a ball joint with a pin including a ring including a first bore and a sleeve assembled in the first bore and having a second bore configured to receive the pin and the diameter of which progressively increases to have a flared inner surface at each of its ends, the fastening shackle being arranged such that a spherical outer surface of the ring bears an anti-friction coating produced on a region extending beyond the contact region with the body of the shackle, this first region being bordered by rims forming a projection around the coating, and/or the second bore bears an anti-friction coating on a region extending beyond its contact region with the pin, this region being bordered by rims forming a projection around this anti-friction coating, at the ends of the flared inner surface.
BEARING UNIT WITH OPTIMIZED ANCHORING OF THE SEALING DEVICE
A bearing unit having a radially outer ring, a radially inner ring, a row of rolling elements interposed between the outer ring and the inner ring, a shaped sealing screen interposed between the inner ring and the outer ring and stably inserted inside a first seat of the outer ring, and a snap ring stably inserted inside a second seat of the radially outer ring and interacting with the shaped screen so as to lock it in the first seat.
Greasable bearing assembly
A greasable bearing assembly may include an outer ring, an inner ring disposed within, and concentric with, the outer ring, and a plurality of balls disposed between the outer ring and the inner ring. A greasable seal may be disposed adjacent the outer ring and the inner ring, the greasable seal further comprising a toroidal shape comprising an outer face and an inner face. An outer ring-shaped surface may extend from the outer face to the inner face. An inner ring-shaped surface may extend from the outer face to the inner face. An intake opening may be disposed through the greasable seal and extend from the outer ring-shaped surface to the inner face. A securing member may be formed as a lip at the inner face to mateably couple between the inner ring and the outer ring.
Sliding member
Disclosed herein is a sliding member having an alloy overlay layer that comes into sliding contact with a counterpart member thereof and has improved fatigue resistance. The sliding member comprises a base material layer and an alloy overlay layer formed on the base material layer, in which the alloy overlay layer has a soft metal phase made of tin and precipitated in a metallic matrix phase made of aluminum, and when an average aspect ratio of the soft metal phase is defined as A, and its standard deviation is defined as Aσ, A+Aσ is 3.0 or less.
