AXIAL BEARING AND RETAINER
A thrust bearing configured to support axial loads that act on a rotating body includes a thrust shaft rotatably supportable in a bearing housing, a thrust collar, and a retainer connected to the thrust shaft and configured to support a plurality of thrust pieces. The thrust pieces each have a front sliding surface in sliding contact with the thrust collar, and the retainer includes a disk having a central opening and an outer circumference and a plurality of radial incisions extending radially inwardly from the outer circumference which incisions have inner ends radially spaced from the central opening. The radial incisions define circumferentially adjacent spring sections each of the which is individually axially flexible against and away from the bearing housing to open and close a spring gap between each of the spring sections and the bearing housing.
Bearing assembly including bearing support ring configured to reduce thermal warping during use
Various embodiments relate to a bearing assembly including a support ring configured to reduce thermal warping under operational temperature conditions, a bearing apparatus that may utilize such a thrust-bearing assembly, and applications that incorporate the disclosed bearing apparatuses such as downhole motors in subterranean drilling systems, directional drilling systems, and many other apparatuses. In an embodiment, a bearing assembly includes a plurality of superhard bearing elements distributed circumferentially about an axis. The thrust-bearing assembly further includes a support ring having the plurality of superhard bearing elements mounted thereto. The support ring includes at least one thermal-warping-reducing feature configured to reduce a radial moment, compared to if the at least one thermal-warping-reducing feature were absent from the support ring, which is thermally induced in the support ring when the support ring and the plurality of superhard bearing elements are exposed to operational temperature conditions.

EXPANDABLE STACKED THRUST BEARING ASSEMBLY
A double row axial roller bearing assembly includes a compressible ring between the two rows. This compressible ring prevents excessive axial forces if the respective shafts impact one another after becoming axially separated. One embodiment is fully unitized such that all parts of the bearing assembly remain with one of the two shafts if the shafts become axially separated. Another embodiment is semi-unitized such that one row of rollers and the compressible ring remain with one of the shafts while the other row of rollers remains with the other shaft. In both cases, all bearing components are prevented from falling out of position such that they return to their proper axial and radial position when the shafts come back together.
SUSPENSION THRUST BEARING DEVICE WITH DUST BOOT RETAINER
A suspension thrust bearing device provides a lower support cap, an upper bearing cap and at least one bearing arranged between the caps. The lower support cap includes a rigid main body in contact with the bearing, and a flexible vibration damping seat delimiting a bearing surface for the upper end of a suspension ring. The vibration damping seat of the lower support cap is secured to the main body and is provided with at least one retaining hook extending at least in the radial direction and axially offset with respect to the bearing surface on the side opposite to the bearing.
Thrust supporting apparatus
A thrust supporting apparatus includes: a thrust runner configured to rotate integrally with a shaft; and a foil thrust bearing supporting an axial load of the shaft, the axial load being transmitted from the thrust runner. The foil thrust bearing includes a top foil facing a first surface of the thrust runner, and the thrust runner comprises first one or more grooves formed on the first surface.
